If you are interested in producing original Battletech or Pony artwork, there is a great tool called Gimp that will let you begin with a journeyman's grade of success with a few hours of puttering about. Lisa Hay-s and Claudia Grant are fine examples of Pony/Mecha cross over art subjects awaiting your artistic inspiration.

Being an anthropomorphized story for kids, the Ponyverse is filled with some interesting dichotomies.



Take these "Clopsticks" for example, that is either Applesaushi, or we have ourselves an omnivorous pony.

The constrast between grity military drama, and Pony comedic allegory is entertaining. The well written show and very approachable art style has motivated a lot of forum pony. I am learning how to produce such materials with mash up parodys of Battletech and Pony.
