If you are interested in producing original Battletech or Pony artwork, there is a great tool called Gimp that will let you begin with a journeyman's grade of success with a few hours of puttering about. The constrast between grity military drama, and Pony comedic allegory is entertaining. The well written show and very approachable art style has motivated a lot of forum pony. I am learning how to produce such materials with mash up parodys of Battletech and Pony.
