earlier post...conversion or deletion are the only 2 out comes of continual posting in this thread
waiting for converted trolls to name a favorite pony...so they can be issued a conversion kit, you named one but it's something you clearly don't need, no offense was meant, was trying my hand at the funny...

MLP FIM is an entertaining show that appeals to a wider range of audiences than anticipated, but is a predictably fun, uplifting, and thoughtfully alegorical humanistic feminists point of view. Successful shows of this sort are made for the children as well as the parents. L. Faust set out to create a show that would demonstrate by alegorical examples the opportunities and desirability for 12 year old girls to think and make the most of themselves as honorable persons. Why is such a show and the people who like it the subject of forum sniping?



Here are some possible explanations:

1. The Brony fandom online began in 4CHAN and other similar hotbeads of flamey fun, and many of the original ponies made ***** of themselves that set an expectation of spamy, trollish behavior. People are still reacting to the original behaviors.

2. Feminism as an ideology is infamously aggressive and lays the world of sin at the feet of men, sparing no effort in the proselytization of this man hating worldview. People are reacting to the 30 years gender war and bronies are just another front in the conflict.

3. Rotten People are attracted to pony bashing in the Brony comunity for the extremely rewarding satisfaction of the tears of thier enemies. There have always been rotten people in the world, but for some reason they get a higher return of on thier investment beating up on Bronies online. It's just more fun.

4. MLP FIM being a self concious bit of sincere social engineering, has inadvertantly challenged the world views of a broad cross section of the population online and kicking bronies assuages some irritating confusion.

5. Arguing, trolling, selling rope, pontificationg on soap boxes, and other verbal and written contests are inherently entertaning. Both sides welcome a good fray.

6. Some inadvertantly powerful hypnotic suggestions planted by the medium/writers/producers is eliciting powerfull manic responses both for and against the shows influence. All glory to the Hypnopony.

7. There's something in the water.

8. Discord is real and walking among us.

9. The Myan Little Ponypocalypse of 2012 has arrived.

10. All of the above.

They're mostly accepted as 'bronies' as well, since 'brony' is more of a term related to fans outside of the target age group than male fans of the show, as commonly believed.

...though a lesser used term is 'pegasister'.
