To Mason West:

If you're going to watch the two-parter pilot, I'd like to note that it's not entirely representative of the whole series. It's more of an adventure story/fairy tale mix, but from episode 3 onwards, the show takes a sharp turn into comedy/slice-of-life. Just something to keep in mind.

Professional?
Let's hear it!

Did i say professional? i meant completely opinionated and unprofessional B)

Any who, i look at it (and please note i have not seen the show, so i could be horribly wrong!) just like i look at the whole Marceline from Adventure Time thing: who cares? i mean, the show is made for a younger audience, does sexuality really matter in a show like this/that?

The way i see it, they can be seen as either way so let it be personal preference, thats all it really is anyway(speculation) so let whoever wants it to be one way, let it be that way, and vica versa, there is no point arguing about something that will only go on forever.

Thats just what i think, sorry if taken offensively, not what im trying to do at the time :)

Good to know, while i probably wont become a brony, i have been introduced to shows before that i thought i would hate, and ended up actually liking, so who knows?

Oh, and Mason West:
If you have like an hour and a half of free time and don't know what to fill them with, I suggest to watch the first two episodes of the show... You'll hear many reasons as to why it's awesome, or why people like it, but you gotta see and decide for yourself...
Not saying you'll necessarily get it after that, but chances are...... ^^

I need to add to this.
Don't just watch the first two episodes. That's what I did at first as well and I didn't like the show very much after that. But, then I had some free time and watched two more. Or at least "two more" was what I had in mind when I started youtube. The next thing I knew, it was past midnight and I had watched over a dozen episodes in a row.

I thought the exact same thing at first lol
look at me now, creating OCs, discussing the contents of the show online, listening to pony-music, occasionally checking EQD, eagerly waiting for season 3...
Granted, it's taken two seasons of ponies, and about half a year but I'm finally at the point where I'd actually consider myself a brony B)
oh crap...... that's.......... wierd.....

I gotta go get some sleep

Actually, I think that's how it went for most of us... :)

They kept using the term 'good friends' as thought it had been previously established they were never going to be more then good friends, donno, maybe my own experiences in that kind of situation colored it for me.

Edit:

Also the way they had a good laugh about it once the subject was broached, seemed like an 'inside joke' sort of response.

I watched it again, but I have to say I can't say there's any real implication of a history. The "good friends" thing seems maybe a little odd, but to suggest from that there is a history between them is hard. I feel if the writers really wanted to suggest a past relationship or something Cheerilee would have said, "It's always nice to run into an old friend," instead of "good".

Seems to me like she was just trying to be polite. Big Mac is a really shy guy. I don't know if you've ever been thrust into a "romantic" situation with someone who is shy, but I would want to let him down easy. Not to mention, one of the girls setting them up is his sister. Cheerilee doesn't know if it's because he actually likes her (something his sister might be privy to) or if he's a helpless victim just the same. "Good friend" is Cheerilee's way of saying, "You're a real nice guy and all, honest! Don't feel bad!"

I think the laughing is just because it's a silly situation. I mean, how else do you react to some children trying to set you up with their teacher?

gonna have to agree to disagree except on one facet, Big Mac is not shy, just quite. there is a distinct difference.

The whole pony thing is lame.

Period.

When I was a kid we were into Gi Joe and Transformers.

/that is all

While at first it does seem so yes, im going to give it(like everything else{well, soooome things no}) a chance before i judge.

And unfortunately Micheal Bay made transformers less cool then it was.

And i have to say, you may not like it(and im atm not a fan of it either) but why post this? i mean, there are plenty of other threads that need you intelligent and contributive posts B) why come all the way here just to say you dont like it? i dont like it, but i didnt come here and tell people what they think is lame.
