I think you miss my meaning. It'd probably be easier if avatars were working; I'd have a little anthropomorphic gryphon up that I've used sort of as a personal mascot and character since I was 12.

I mean that by being a furry, I am no longer at complete rock-bottom of the internet food chain, implicitly a position that was usurped by the all-too-zealous "brony" nanoculture.

Hasbro re-released My Little Pony in flash animation with voice actors that actually had souls as opposed to prior instances thereof.

The show itself is not terrible, though as I'm not an 8-year-old girl I am not particularly interested in it.
An unusual following developed for it, a large part thereof (Though NOT the entire thing) originating within, and causing considerable stir, in the furry community due to the fact that many people had no interest whatsoever in it, and a very vocal selection of its new fans (I have yet to determine if this is the majority or a vocal minority) found it necessary to "share" by way of aggravatingly beating it into any orfice on a non-fan's body they could find.

In typical fashion, drama ensued. Less mature individuals on both sides, fan and non-fan, drove it hilariously out of proportion.

And then Hasbro started specifically catering to the new group in order to maximize profitibility and merchandising.

I don't see why this is so bad, or why anyone has to be at the bottom of any internet food chain or hierarchy. Ultimately, on the other end, they're just other people who happen to like something different. I'm not saying you have to love and tolerate everything (as some behaviors really shouldn't be put up with) but as stands, no one here really has done much to wrong anyone else. They just happen to be fans of little ponies. =)
