Since Nicholas Kerensky was having hallucinations/visions when he created the Clans, who's to say that it wasnt Clan Pink Pony before they changed it into Clan Hell's Horses. Clan Sea Fox changed theirs into Clan Diamond Shark then back again eventually.

You know, Foxtrot had always been one of my favorite comic strips (after Calvin and Hobbes, of course), and this strip became even funnier after I became a brony....

Hon. Mechwarriors;

I have enjoyed the pschological allegory of Fallout Equestria: New Horizons. A Crusading Poni-ism view of the nature of pony in every disastrous shade of grey. One of the characters that left an impression was an Alicorn by the name of Lacunae.

Posted Image The characters are well crafted with room to grow, and wilt. Here we discover one of the Axioms of the Wasteland, Alicorns are not to be trifled with lightly.

Posted Image

With great power comes great responsibility. Unfortunately, being the product of a spiritual quisinart and subject to the capricious whims of an insecure "goddess" seem to me to be too high a price to pay for relative security in the wasteland.
Posted Image

Here is a song that I thank sums up the monstrous circumstances of an Alicorn's internal dialouge.

If you have a hard to count to number of moments free, do your self a favor and read Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons. Just bear in mind that imperfect good and willfull evil are amptly demonstrated to be insufficient to the task of redemming the circumstances of the world of Equestria.

As this has both giant robots AND Fluttershy, I believe you should find it most satisfactory:

I couldn't sleep the other night so I took a pic I think I found in this thread:

and used my terrible photoshop skills to color it:

Could be much better but I was half asleep and I have been too busy to spruce it up.

don't judge me :)

Keep up the good work Proxus! The true key to getting better at something (art, anything really) is knowing what you can improve and spending the time to get better! (Basically, do the exact opposite of what I do! :))

I wish I could do stuff as cool as that guy I linked earlier...

Well, first of all you gotta get feedback from others, looking at and analyzing your own art will only get you so far... Unless you're overly critical you're going to miss a lot of things... Aside of that, it's all a matter of practice!

That said, some advice for you Proxus:
-use layers and don't be afraid to use lots of them!
In this case your life would've been easier if you had used a separate layer for each of the following;
Background (maybe even separate for sky and ground), Body (Head, Wings, Legs etc.), Coat, Guns, *Details*
-especially when using layers, don't be afraid to color over the lines. You can easily correct/erase any mistakes you make and if it's on a BG-layer, the colors in the foreground will cover that anyway

btw, int the pic she's firing the gun in her right hoof, you forgot to color the muzzle-flash... ^^

I'm assuming you didn't use a tablet for this, but even so, using multiple layers would have helped you to avoid those white edges.
The most tricky part about digital art is actually to leave behind what you're used to from drawing on paper. Drawing with tools like PS or GIMP or even more simplistic tools gets rid of a lot of restrictions you have for non-digital art. The ability to use layers for example enables you to draw backgrounds without having to draw them around what ever is in the foreground. You can also erase any color without leaving any trace of it. Just to point out two advantages that came to my mind...
It seems a lot of artists that have been into for a while forget about those differences as it is quite natural to work that way on a computer, but I feel most newcomers need to be made aware of that because they simply didn't learn it that way...

However, I got some new artwork to share myself... ^^
The following is for a request I got on dA recently, it's just part of it though, I'm going to do more with it!
Posted Image

Try to guess how many layers the final image has! (Note: it used to be a lot more when I was actually working on it, I combined a couple of them where it made sense)

Actually, you know what?! If you guess right, you may request me to draw a pony for your. ^^
