Ehhh....I don't think it's ending so to speak. 13 episodes is slightly disheartening, but I think they hinted at something else going on which is why they shortened the season.

For all those people scared the show will end due to how short this season is... Well, that's not why.

It is very common for children's cartoons to shoot for 65 episodes, because this allows them to be syndicated. Syndication allows them to sell the show as a 3-month block of programming (assuming they air a single episode every weekday). While often this does mean the end of the show, there are several prominent examples of shows that were extended due to just how popular they were. The Transformers. Batman: The Animated Series. G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. Animaniacs.

If the show remains as popular as it is now, and keeps selling the toys, Hasbro's gonna keep it running.

Hasbro's only got so much of a budget for their animation dept., which is why we got a 13-episode season- basically, with as much popularity as MLP has, they don't need as much "advertisement" to get what they want impact-wise. So in one way, the show is a victim of it's own success! They're making money hand over fist from the franchise at this point- and even if smaller amounts of toys are showing up in toy shops, they're licensing like mad. Face it. The average brony isn't buying that pink Celestia case it doesn't look like the show, but they snapped up every Rainbow Dash and Derpy that Hot Topic put on the shelf because they did, and the T-shirts, and the posters, and the COMICS, and...well, you get the idea.

Don't worry. The show isn't going anywhere for at least a year after this one.

Let's hope so. I think we're on to something here though- and the guys on the Military Bronies Facebook page hit a goldmine, imo- branded merchandise that would be more appropriate to the Brony community, such as a Monopoly board game spin off the likes of "Monopony". What Brony wouldn't also love to see a poseable Battletech figurine with included cutie-mar... I mean clan affiliation stickers...

I think MLP:FIM is going strong, didn't get to see it at the time but in October,in Australia (at least in Canberra) there was a MLP:FIM movie in cinemas. I soo regret not seeing it but, my work schedule didn't fit with the screening times. midday matinee's only
