Not only do I highly recommend this documentary, but I'd say it's quite possibly one of the best fandom documentary's I've ever seen. There are some truly touching moments and some damn good story's told.
Do yourselves a favor, buy this documentary if you can, it's worth every "Bit"

her brother married a princess, couldn't she also be one now. due to relations within the family line?

Oh yeah, I've gotten a similar bug before.
As for the whole Twilight becoming an Alicorn thing, I wouldn't worry about it too much, it sounds like the most significant change is that she gets wings, it doesn't exactly change her personality, (don't forget, she is pretty humble.) and she'll still be the same adorkable pony we know and love right? Besides, it gives a little fridge logic in regards to where alicorns come from, and why there are so few of them.
