Just too serious man, Internetz are for fun

It's the cartoon animator equivalent of smashing the fax machine in Office Space. Gratuitous violence with a hint irony and a poke back at people who take their ponies a bit too seriously B)

God help you if you ever went and watched AMV Hell...

I do believe that's My line. I'm usually the one poking fun at folks for taking the cartoon to seriously. That's the thing though, I don't think this guy's work is fun. one of the reasons I like this show is that it's so lighthearted and not dark. There's a big difference between a bit of dark satire, like say the Friendship is witchcraft parody series, and stuff like this. This also is not a case of poking a bit of fun at ones work. Again, have you seen his devart page? It's filled with cartoon characters doing horrible acts of violence to each other. this guy's got some long standing issues here. Was probably either hugged to much as a kid, or not enough.

This is also not a case of "kicking the fax machine at work". I should know, at the job I just left, I made it an art of kicking the snot out of our gear. Yes sir! There are a whole lot of dents and faulty service hatches on those assembly lines thanks to good ol' Fatboy here. B) The point is slapping an inanimate object, a pile of malfunctioning bolts and plastic, is leaps and bounds different then depicting living creatures carving each other up. If his job bugs him this much, He can just do what I did a month ago: Quit.

And for the record, "It's just a joke" in cases like this is right up there with lines like "I was just following orders". It's a cop-out that people use after someone's called shenanigans on them.

.....Man! All this typing is getting in the way of My UNENDING QUEST TO POST PONY ON THE INTERNET!!!!

I'm gonna go post on Davey's Deviant page that the bronies of MWO are comparing him to Goebbels and that his parents didn't love him B)

Really man, way too much analysis of a guy posting cartoon stuff on the net... It's not like i posted a vid of women stomping REAL kittens or something...

Wow, MFB....

It is creepy-pasta at another level, but no need to go up against the author for it. He just probably wanted to animate Happy Tree Friends or something like that and it didn't work out for him... :)

When a normal person wants to blow off steam from work, they usually have a beer, watch some tv, go party, get laid, etc.

Show me a normal production animator and I'll show you an honest politician. Insanity is actually part of our job requirements.

SirDubDub, the joke's on you, since what you said applies to every animator I know... except for you. When we're at it, I actually haven't seen you animate at all, just your comics and maybe some occasional pictures. :D

Onto pretty pictures, since the distraction took it's toll on our overall post to pony ratio per page.

First off, a mindblowing realistic depiction of Equestria.

Then a stare battle between our favorite background ponies... *runs away dodging stuff being thrown at him by Majorfatboy*

And some Fluttershy cuteness to make you smile. :)
comparing him to Goebbels
Who mentioned Goebbles? Or any of those guy for that matter? I'm not trying to make a big deal out of anything, I'm defending my opinion. You posted something, I said what I thought of it. You could have left it at that, but came back with insinuating if someone doesn't like it, they must be scared of it.
If you absolutely can't man up to watch a flash animated cartoon

Song here for the weak of hear t

God help you if you ever went and watched AMV Hell...
Troll harder.

I think Creamed corn is absolutely disgusting, but I'd hardly say I'm scared of it..... Actually I take that back, creamed corn is terrifying. My point is just because someone doesn't like something, does not mean they're scared of it. Trust Me, I'm a grown adult. I've got far worse things to keep Me awake at night, Like taxes, fuel prices, work, and of course the ever-impending zombie apocalypse .
It is creepy-pasta at another level' date=' but no need to go up against the author for it.[/quote']

So someone making / posting something like this is perfectly fine, but someone saying it's awful is bad form? Being overly gross and extremely gory is okay, but saying you don't like is is rude? Putting tons of time and effort and making a hobby out of detailing cartoon character goring each other is fine, but someone saying that's weird is bad?

When someone creates something and puts it out for others to see, they should be prepared to receive criticism. When I made My first post, I knew it would go over like a lead balloon, but I accepted that and posted, ready for whatever negative responses and drama comes up. The guy who makes this stuff should be prepared to hear some criticism. If not, then He should not release such things, and just keep this stuff to himself to avoid any negative reactions.
Not everyone's going to like what you do.

If you don't like My opinion that's fine. But don't tell Me I'm wrong for having it.

The thing is, the video was not intended to harm or insult anyone. It was intended as a joke for those who are into this sort of thing. If you don't like it, it's completely possible to never look at it. FCMatt here pulled a successful prank at us (and you dodged the bullet there ), but that's all it was, a prank meant to entertain. He isn't spamming pictures of it all over this thread, he isn't PM'ing you the video, he's not using gifs or encoded links to fool you into watching it forcefully.

Just tolerate it, knowing it is just another way of entertainment for some people and leave it be, like anyone against it should. Consider the fact from whom you're getting this quasi-advice and my backlog with simply tolerating and leaving things I personally dislike alone (cloppers, MLP, goons,....). It is normal not to like it, but there's really no need to be up in arms due to it. ;)

BRING ON THE SHAMELESS SELF-PROMOTION

But okay fine. I'm not a professional working in the field. Guilty. I'm doing the best I can to get some animation training out of a non-animation school though. I get to channel the insanity by drawing nothing but explosions and punching and giant robots and stuff...

Why do people think of relationships between spike and twilight as mother-son? I guess its more like sister-little bro, huh?

@ Adridos:
True and agreed. I was just trying to get the point across that thinking something sucks doesn't automatically mean you're a scaredy cat. Dropping it because this is getting in the way of pony.

Actually, it varies between people.

You and I view them as siblings, some view Twilight as the motherly figure, while others simply write them off as a boss and slave employee.

Be it by some deep psychological connections (fun stuff to chat about, but it's almost midinight here, so I'll skip it) people develop towards them, because of some facts from their own life (do you have any siblings yourself?), or just at random, it's easy to view it from their perspective especially in the earlier episodes where she always puts him to sleep and reminds him that he's the n.1 assistant (kinda like small children love to be reminded their mom loves them). Plus, the inclusion of Shining Armor puts Spike and Twilight's siblinghood on thinner ice (she was always Spike's bigger sister, but now she's just Shining's younger sis... the influence is there, but due to the lack of character development between these two for now, it's still not heavily rooted in everyone's minds).

Anyway, that's my "take" on the matter.

Oh, and I forgot to add some EQG to my lastest picture collection, so...

And some great non-girly music for MFB. I know it's not that much of an MLP piece as just a great brony creation, but you won't be disappointed, trust me. ;)

A bit too symphonic for My tastes normally, but damn fine none the less. It's be great BGM for an old school styled console rpg.

I imagined it more as some final action sequence in a good 3D platformer.... still, glad you liked it.

Whilke we're at it, it's actually an orchestra and you forgot to give Fluttershy the right clothing for the occasion...

I'm not terribly sure why, but I love this line. It's one of those things that would make zero sense for someone outside of the loop, but still sounds strangely..... profound. Would be a great (and confusing) quote for a t-shirt.
