The good news: "Testing" was arguably one of the best Dash episodes since Sonic Rainbow, and definitely one of the best S4 episodes.

The bad news: This means a whole bunch of other S4 episodes had to get bumped down a rank to deal with it!

The Rainbow Dash episode was good. I believe there were better ones this season, but it is among the top five (for the season) so far.

I rewatched some episodes of season four, after last weeks Applejack episode and realized something we haven't discussed here yet...

Did you notice, that everyone of the mane six, except Twilight, had exactly one "Rainbow Eyes" moment?
Rarity in "Rarity take Manehatten"


Rainbow Dash in "Rainbow Falls"


Pinkie in "Pinkies Pride"


Fluttershy in "It ain't easy being Breezies"


and finally Applejack in "Leap of faith"


I seem not to be the first to find it, as the above videos are not from me. Now with only Twillight missing this moment of self revelation and just a few episodes left till the season final, how high would you rate the chance, that this is connected to the mystery box from the tree of harmony and the keys to open it?

Very good observation, I had not noticed that until you pointed it out. Sense it appears to be a recurring theme for each of the main six that there must be some kind of significance with it.

Heh. The "rainbow eyes" effect are what's known as their "key episodes"- you'll notice each of them also ends up with a keepsake of some sort that also has that shimmery effect as well that are assumed to relate to the locked box from the S4 premiere. Twilight hasn't had hers because she's the one who hasn't ended up with a key yet.

You do realize the maker of this crappy youtube vid is using the show Red Eye as proof of right wing propaganda which is both Reps and Dems making fun of the news and politics. Its meant to be funny, which it usually is, not a hard core news source.

Is there a break this week? If that's the case then I don't have to worry about missing it, but at the same time that sucks because then we have to wait another week. Its a catch 22 thing I suppose.

I am going out to the desert to break in my new dirt bike with friends and family. I will be gone for about 3 days.

Who knows, I just might run across a rock farm while I'm out there.

I don't know if Spike will like dirt bike riding, but Rainbow Dash would.
