I have a 1920x1200 Monitor that I normally run all my games full screen in that resolution without any problems. On MechWarrior beta with the largest available res in the menu being 1280x 800 (and FullScreen selected), I assumed that would work (it has the same 1.6x ratio), however the game then has bars top and bottom.
What res should I be selecting to get full screen?

i would think you have bars cause there are 400 pixels of space the game isn't using

Alternatively, you can go into your monitor's on screen menu or your GPU graphics settings (nvidia or catalyst control panel) and turn on full screen scaling.
Also, are you sure that 1280x800 is the maximum selectable resolution? The drop down box should have a scroll bar on the right side.
