I am looking at getting 4 mechs when the game comes out. What is the cost. I am trying to do the math between buying them or getting them with legendary account.

For easy math lets say they are a ll heavies.

I'm pretty sure that one of the devs stated that the Elite/Legendary Founders packs came with enough currency for about 8-10 medium Mechs, depending on exactly which ones you went for, so you should easily be able to get any four you choose to start with.

With last prices we've seen it'd be 2.8k MC. Now you just gotta bother the devs to make them tell you how many MCs you get.

Go to media and watch the Mechlab video. The price of a Hunchback is around 3.5 mill. Then using the pause button you can get a list of prices for fittings and weapons. Easy.

When the Hunchback Price is around 3.5 Mill, then you can simply get the Prices for your Mech's here.

Because then the Prices are Canon Prices. ( As anticipiated)

MC prices (in the mechlab vid at least) don't seem to be based on C-bill prices but simply on the class.

Seems to be 500 Light, 600 Med, 700 Heavy, 900 Assault.

Since the game is in beta and still testing out, we can never have a definitive answer. But I bet that getting the Legendary Package will be cheaper! Not to mention all the extras you get :D

Well, we can deduce that a Founder mech is worth about $15

Elite package is $60, has a listed $115 value.

$80 of currency
$20 for 2 months premium boost
$15 for 1 founder mech

Of course, if you decide to buy mechs a la carte, they won't be Founder's mechs, just regular mechs, so they will probably be somewhere less than $15 each. Probably around $8-$10 somewhere.

You'll be able to buy regular mechs for free with C-bills anyway, so you would not necessarily have to buy 4 with cash.

Why would you get 10 medium mechs when you can get 20 urbanmechs?

What "difference" are you looking for?

The Mechs look slightly different compared to their standard model (for example, the Founder Catapult has a pointed beak, while the regular Catapult has a blunt nose). You can find pictures of this in the Media -> Artwork section here on the website.

Other than that, the only difference is that they earn 25% more ingame money per match.

Hey MWs,

I purchased a premium account when this was a closed Beta.
I held onto my Elite Founders pack as I knew that once I activated it, it would be 60 days.
So, I'm a casual gamer.. but a huge Mech fan.
I waited because I wanted to "cash in" when the game went official release.
So, I just cashed it in and Im screwed! I have nothing for MC, but I have a lot of the "wrench". ( no instructions btw).

I dropped my dimes on this game beacause I beleive in it. I've waited most of my life for this and so have many of my old school BT/MC friends.

Heh, never spend mc on mechs!(unless a Hero) Only spend MC on mechbays and if you desire colors (not for me!)

Here is a nice intro to the game... Its old school but, its about real RTS with mechs.
