So, I logged in about an hour ago, sold my old Hunchie, played in an Atlas Trial Mech for a while, got the money together and bought a HBK-4SP. I have to say, that, the experience is different now that I am not playing on Prime Time USA. Im not dying as much and hell, I have won a couple of matches. I would say that I am at a 66/33 win loss today. Even got a kill assist and a spot assist. Still no kill of my own though. ;)

But, if this is the case, then they need to make 2 separate servers. One of the EU time zone and one for the USA time zones, this is further to the ELO overhaul that is supposedly coming.

To all of you that thought I should quit, kiss the darkest part of my pale white butt. To those that gave me some good advice, thank you.

Im currently fitting a bit at a time to the HBK. I have the mediums and SRM 6s. I added in a AMS system, Im working towards the costly...Double Heatsinks. Going well so far.

Hang in there. The game has a very steep learning curve. One day it will all come together and you will get kills regularly.

In the meanwhile, might I suggest that you not sell any mechs unless you are out of hangars. You only get a fraction of the value back, and you might want to work with that chassis in the future.

find a mech you like and try different weapon setups that dont overheat you constantly and always stick with your lance.. its harder than you think.. sure at the start of the match everyone moves together but when **** hits the fan its easy to forget about your teammates and suddenly you are alone and an easy kill.

try just to follow an assault mech the whole game and help him kill his targets and you will have a much better experience.

We'll likely see the first wave of elo on the 19th.

A Bit of an update. My last match, got my first kill!! WOOHOO!!

I was trying to quick cap a base with one of those Kurita Hero Mechs. They sent 2 Jenners and another of the Kurita Mechs back to defend. I SRM'ed a Jenner in the face about 5 times...it didnt like it. ;)

The Elo will change things a lot as well. Most organized teams who drop together with high win/loss rates will no longer play against you, they'll play against each other. Hilariously they will ALL lose more as they move towards a 50/50 win/loss rate and their KDR will move towards about 1.6 or so. You on the other hand will also start moving towards a 50/50, 1.6 (assuming you kill someone every game and don't die when you win) KDR and will probably find it more enjoyable.

Take some time, spectate as much as you can. Pay attention to what the person you're spectating has loaded out on their mech and how they use it. That helped me a lot.

Hes right, even the most hardcore mechwarrior OGs like me just ran around and died for my first few matches.

After about 30-50, there was no turning back... enemies been crying ever since.
