I have tested my PAK files for corruption.
I have re-installed Drivers
Throttle works perfectly in....
*Windows Control Panel
*Siatek Software
*Other Games
Throttle worked Perfectly Prior to Friday's Patch.
My user.cfg file is fine.

I have an x52 Throttle that I use with a mouse. Standard set-up with the hat switch programmed for directional turning, etc....

Immediately after I patched Friday night, my throttle loses actual throttle control. All other mapped controls function perfectly. This happens approximately 1 in 3 matches now, with a client re-start required to re-enable it. When the 'throttle' portion is dead, the MWO control layout will not recognize the throttle axis, but still recognizes all other buttons for mapping.

Anyone else having this issue?

I saw this happen a lot in closed beta. No idea why it'd pop back up again.
Like you say, the only way to fix it is to restart the client.

Huh...never had it happen to me in closed beta ;) In fact, after set-ing up the user.cfg file back then, I've never actually played the game with the keyboard..lol...quite a mess when I tried last night ;)

My joystick throttle has been giving me the same problems. Some games it cant go in reverse. But I dident report any of it because I figured joystick issues are the last things on their minds..

I just got out of a match where it was dropping my throttle for no reason, but I am not playing with a joystick. I did however have my Logitech Extreme 3D plugged in, maybe that is part of the problem, it was very irritating.

This one time I saw a guy smack 6 staples into his bare forearm.

Hope this helps.

You're saying this is a lack of nerve? :P

I thought I noticed throttle weirdness the other night but that could have been also vodka. >_______> Will pay attention while not drinking Caesars.

Well, in other words I don't have any issues with this. Sorry 144

While excess vodka consumption is always a possibility for me...I've had sporadic throttle issue during matches, but nothing to concerning as a full throttle and back always 'resets' it....but the main issue is the complete stop of throttle functions until client re-start.

There was once an issue with having 2 control devices plugged in at the same time? Ancient relative perhaps?

Thought that may be it too, so I uninstalled (and cleaned) my 3Dconnexion software and mouse software (which I don't really need anyhow), so right now, it's only generic drivers (mouse and basic KB), cheapie USB headset (no software), and the throttle.

Now you got me thinking though...previously in CB, if I had the joystick plugged into the throttle, I would permenanty lose chainfire until full re-install. I hesitate to plug the joystick in and risk yet another full D/L :P

Well that's good and bad news for me...good, there's hope of somehow repairing whatever got borked on friday...bad, in that it's not global, therefore chance of support is next to nil.

Four full reformats and reinstalls to beta test this game and counting in the past 7 months...might as well add a 5th just to eliminate any other possibilities...sigh...gettin' a little cranky

Maybe this will help. It is the user.cfg that I use.

cl_joystick_invert_turn = 1
cl_joystick_invert_pitch = 1
cl_joystick_invert_throttle = 1
cl_joystick_gain = 7
cl_joystick_throttle_range = 0
gp_omicron_allow_c3voip = 0
i_mouse_accel=0
i_mouse_accel_max = 100
i_mouse_smooth = .1
cl_sensitivity = .6

With this config, you are at zero throttle when it is centered, full reverse is all the way back, full forward is all the way forward. If your throttle isn't centered at start up, you will start moving right at match start.

In options I have throttle set to j0_axis_z .

I don't use (or even have plugged in) the joystick half...just the throttle, so....

cl_joystick_invert_throttle = 1
cl_joystick_throttle_range = 0
...is all you really need

cl_fov = 83

Only other line in my cfg file. Thanks though for the replies :P

Just copied and pasted. Didn't mean to imply that you need all of it.
