I have a Logitech M705 mouse with lots of extra buttons(8, but typically games only recognize 5). Prior to the open beta my extra keys worked just fine, but now I can only get the first and second one. I can still configure the extra buttons in the control settings (e.g., fire group 4 is mapped to MB4).
I was playing previously with whatever windows driver installed when I plugged the USB receiver to my (newish) laptop, but just be safe I uninstalled and installed the latest Logitech driver.
Any ideas? Should I take this to support? I know it sounds minor but it makes playing much harder.
FWIW I'm using an ASUS U47VC, Windows 7 64-bit.

Is anyone else having problems with their mouse's extra button?

Turn off the Setpoint program and see how that works. I had to do that for my G500 mouse.

No dice. It was working before without the Logitech drivers, now it won't work with either.

Yeah, my right click button stopped working a couple of days ago for no apparent reason. I'm not sure why... comes with Beta I guess.
It had been working for several weeks prior to open beta.

Same issue the difference is I installed the mouse and keyboard settings and instead of being able to use 1-5 now I can use left click, right click, and middlebutton. This is quite a bother as I would like to use all of the 8 buttons for my m705

For my razer i simply map the button in the software to the number key for that weapon group. You might try to map the button in your mouse software rather than trying to map within MWO

In setpoint, there are settings for "Generic Button" - you need to use these.
eg a side button may default to "Back" but you may need to set it to "Generic Button" or "Generic Button 4"
Failing that, as Staplebeater says, map the mouse to the game (eg mouse button hits key 4) rather than the game to the mouse.

Same issue on a G9, one of the mouse buttons wasn't set up in the profile correctly. Corrected that, and works fine now.
