Silly Question - Changing Forum Name

I would like to change my forum name. Is there a way to do so? I signed up with my full name, got it today, and now cannot change it.

You cannot say you are in beta, thats the first rule of being in beta. So take that off..

Did anything ever come about on this? I, too would like a nom de guerre, separate (but associated) from my real, account name. I also don't want to close my account as I have invested too much time and energy in my mechs.
