Hello all

After asking during a match it seems a lot of people agree with me that the heavy and assault mechs need to be redone so that they can turn faster, maybe not as fast as a light Raven but definatly faster.

as things stand they a to much like turrets, anyone in a light mech and a bit of skill can get behind a assault mech, stay there and kill it, so a 25 ton Commando kills a 100 ton Atlas all by its self.

Is this fair/right?

you you think NOT then please add your comments and let the devs know what you think.

Of course they DON'T need to turn faster, people that agree with them turning faster are people that like things easy, Yes let's say a comando can defeat an atlas like nothing, what is an Atlas doing by his own? this makes players play more in teamwork and giving a disadvantage to assaults that have more firepower and armor

absolutely not. a light mech has to have a way to kill an assault, otherwise they would be pointless. if they're sitting behind you, switch your turn direction and swap what way your torso is facing, you should be able to get a shot off at least. rinse, repeat until you either kill the little ******, or die trying. also backing up helps.

If a light mech is circling you, you can keep him in your sights and turn faster if you turn the opposite way in reverse.

If larger mechs turn faster, why would anyone ever want to use a light mech?

I think everyone has made the point but, you really need to think of it from a balance stand point. Assault mechs are big and heavy , they are intended to be slow. If they can track small targets a close range, no one would use anything else.

I know, right? Why do they turn so slowly, it's as if these things weigh 100 tons...er...wait...

atm its realy hard to kill a light in a assault, ok it only should be hard not realy hard, but the problem is the lagshield makes it so hard to get a clear shot at the little ones in the small windows you can shoot at them.

Wait until the lagshield is resolved and you have no problem killing a light if he isnt a better pilot as you (not without taking same damage of course)

Best way to prevent a light from shooting you in the back is backing up to a wall or rock. In my experience the lights usually run circles around me and the object or find something else to do. After five or six circles I can usually take them out.
