I would recommend the following Cataphract Build:

This build works on any a Cata except the 4x. I have had great success with it. You can drop the XL if you don't mind lower speed. The big tip is, Gauss+ERPPC is a winning combo on any heavy or assault that can do it. Huge pinpoint damage at any range with reduced heat problems.
