There are LOTS of debate threads (and QQ, but lets stick with reasoned arguments for a little bit) about what is bad about 3PV. PGI has also basically built the feature, and said they are doing it to draw in a new gaming demographic -- so it is likely that 3PV will get in the game.

One argument against 3PV is that experienced players will use it to gain a tactical advantage by seeing over a hill or similar, then hitting the F4 key and having all the advantages of 1PV and that quick peek over the obstruction.

(Yes, 1PV and 3PV will be in different queues, but that won't stop a high-skill pilot from "slumming" in the 3PV queue for easy kills.)

If view-mode were selected via the options menu, it would either be a cumbersome set of actions to enable and disable 3PV, or could even be set before a match starts and you're stuck with it all match long.

Personally, I don't like 3PV. Didn't use it in MW1, 2, 3.*, 4.*, didn't need it to learn the game, and always wondered what a MechAssault cockpit would have looked like. But if its gonna happen, maybe this suggestion will lessen the outrage?

They will just make another hotkey for switching ingame 3PV, like all the other MW titles. Sure, they could make it more obstructive, but do you really think they would do that? No way.

"New patch feature: 3PV.
Go to Options, choose a key for switching between first and third person and solve a capcha, everytime you press the toggle key."

Right...
