I am often the last man standing on my team. I often play a long distance harassment light mech. I can't count the times I've been harassed for my play style and mech loadout. I also can't count the times my position has been given away by impatient and immature players who want to get on to the next game with the mech they started that match with... which must wait on me to die or win.
PLEASE, PLEASE provide us an option to block the video feed the dead players can see to prevent such harassment. If the video feed is blocked pls provide them with just a view of their wreck, or the match statistics, or some other option. Please make this an option we can toggle in game while playing. Default is "on", keystroke to turn it off if we are being harassed.
I am seriously considering moving on to another game because of this harassment. I'm too busy in game to take names, and the list would get ridiculously long from just one day gaming.
Yes, I could just ignore the harassment, but I read the msg’s because sometimes I get good intel, or reminded of something I should do.

So do you play this long distance harassment light mech well?

I don't see them giving that option though.

I've had the same problem not only when I'm in a light mech trying to kill the last 5 dudes on the other team (which I have done many times before) but also when I was in an assault mech trying to trying to kill the solo enemy that comes to cap the base.

I would like it....but I dont think its very high on priority for the Devs.

I'd like to think so. I've gotten lots of kills this way. I also split up the enemy making others on my team kill the stragglers that don't chase me faster. This is if I'm lucky enough to have peeps on my side who play as a team. Sometimes I do die horribly very quickly if I end up at the wrong place at the wrong time.

You can report people that report your position, FYI. Just take a screenshot of their text, or griefing, and sent info with time-stamp of incident to:

support@mwomercs.com

I do it all the time

Oh no people said things about you on the internet.

Telling you you're bad at robots isn't griefing. Asking you to do something other that draw out a hopeless match isn't griefing. Giving you really bad advice ("oh yeah man he's all alone in E7 you can totally take him") isn't griefing. People who give up your position could probably be reported, but other than that the problem is on your end.

Also, can anyone name a single game that has survival mode and a spectator function that allows you to block spectators? Lord knows my memory ain't what it used to be, but I can't think of any.

I dunno, man. One time I was rolling with goons and we were making fun of this spider (last alive on the other team) that had nothing but a PPC. The spider proceeded to take out three highlanders. It was like watching a blind man snatch a bird out of the air with his buttcheeks: simultaneously hella impressive and one of the funniest things I've seen on the internet.

Posted Image What IS your playstyle and loadout? I mean, are you an LRM Raven? Light poptart? Be specific.

Sounds like what you really need is a show chat ON/OFF switch. Turning off camera sharing makes it that much easier for cheaters...

I was riding along with a Spider pilot tonight. Saddest thing ever.

He was trying to machine gun enemy Assaults... but mostly hitting scenery.

He was running at 151 kph... frequently straight into cliff faces, where he would flail away for a while until eventually turning left or right until he hit the next cliff face.

But it wasn't until he told the rest of the team to split up ''in case someone dropped artillery on them'' that I lost it.

Obviously spectating is not the problem here. It is the players involved. If it geniune abuse/harassment, then this is the answer:

I just hope you are using a good level of discretion. Some people can get very 'passionate' about the game. Strongly worded tactics or one heat of the moment groan ( "arrg don't cap you coward!" ) are probably not worthy of the harassment report.
