[Wildstreak]

Thought about this from the Bad Advice topic and something that happened in a game last night.

Name the funniest comments you ever saw/heard in a game.

Since learning what GL HF meant, I sometimes General Chat it before a match. Last Night, started on Frozen City and the following happened:
Me: GL HF
One of My Own Team: **** you and your glhf cuddly hugginess. (Not exact comment but similar.)
Another Player #1: GL HF
Another Player #2: GL HF
Another Player #3: GL HF
Another Player #4: GL HF
Another Player #5: GL HF
Another Player #6: GL HF
Another Player #7: GL HF
Another Player #8: GL HF

Followed by some comments about One of My Own Team.

I like to tell the other team that they are facing an 8 man sync drop. I have never even thought of joining an 8 man in my life. Comedy usually ensues.

ITS the damned GG after ur team just got pubstomped 8 to 0 with only 2 of ur team breaking 100dmg..

I mean really Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. What [REDACTED] can actually say that crap.. do ya just gotta rub in the nasty [REDACTED] u just handed out or somthing..

There is nothing that can be called good about a game when a match goes roflstomprs.. For either side.. cmon really grow up.

Then follow it up with either "Good Luck Have Batman" or "Good Luck Have Bacon"


Once, completely unrelated to my GL HB, the allchat was filled with a complete re-enactment of an early scene from Red vs Blue
"Is it a spider?"

My favorite was back in the day of the suicide farmers. There was one of them named Duke Nukem that I kept dropping with (not on purpose, obviously). The last time I ever dropped with him, a few people knew what was about to happen.

Homeless Bill: Ah ****. We're down one
Team Mate #1: No we're not...
Team Mate #2: We will be in about ten seconds
Team Mate #3: Not Duke!
Duke Nukem: I've got balls of ferro-fibrous

I'm also a big fan of Wispsy's version of GL, HF:

I have had a few, but none seem to stand out enough to recall. It always nice to receive a positive response from a crowd of inknown's. I only feel sorry for those that can only respond in negative. Sad really.

I dunno. I will often say something stupid like that after someone says GL HF in jest. Sometimes get an amusing response back. Seems rather odd to complain about people having fun after you just told them to lol.

There is nothing that can be called good about a game when a match goes roflstomprs.. For either side.. cmon really grow up.

I gg at the end of every game, even if I was on the stomping or the stomped team.

It's my way of saying "no hard feelings." to the winners and "no hard feelings?" to the losers. Obviously, a lot can get lost in the internet translation, but I like making an attempt to uphold the customs and forms of video game culture.

It's rude not to gg in StarCraft, no matter how big you won or lost. Not sure why MWO should be different.

EDIT: I always begin the game with "gf hl" (good fun, have luck - it still makes sense, I promise!). I used to award the "Best Name of the Game Award" to the player whose screen name made me smile the most, but it was too much work to type it all out every time.

I usually start out with bad punny jokes...as the night goes on and drinking increases...they just get worse....especially if I'm a light and I'm sitting on their base. My usual statement though is "So...a baby seal walks into a club..." I usually get a few chuckles off that one.

I like to yell out stupid things in all chat.

"Okay team, here's the plan, we are going to spread out and try to cap our base. If you see any blue triangles shoot at em" Sadly no one takes my advice and we end up rolling as the critical mass push.
