In one match it started a speculative conversation of what Conan would be driving.

One memorable match I played on River City Night started out with our team on the bad side of a 6v8. One of our opponents asked: "Are you afraid of the dark?"

I replied with: "Not really, but I am afraid of being 2 mechs down..."

Later in the match, after my team got up 6 to 2 I asked: "I think the question now is: are YOU afraid of the dark?"

Much snarkiness followed.

I usually start out each match typing in "Fight well, die hard, and have fun"
Some people take that as a Die Hard refference, but it is not supposed to be - rather the most succinct way I can think of to say what I want to say (and by typing it out before the match starts people cannot reinterpret it the way GLHF can be)

If both sides fight well, and fight hard, they will most likely not die or if they do they will die hard - if they die -And it just seems polite to wish them a fun time.

-I have started adding in team -Try not to die if possible, but if you do die hard/take them with you.

-I also cannot tell you how many StarFox refferences I have seen (not sure why >.>)

I had the funniest comment this day, laughed at a lot. So, it's a match start, everyone is loading on the map. And someone, I don't know him, printed to a global: "It is DuoAngel again". Couldn't recognize, was it sarcasm, or just greeting (apparently we had a game with him before, I just do not remember every PUG I play with). But right after his words MWO got freezed, and then collapsed/closed Sure like a curses from him, since he was in an opposing team of mine

But mostly ppl seem pretty serious.

But the one guy whose name made me spray my screen was:

Translating roughly as "take a run up instead of KY Jelly". Well, we germans like to think we have a sense of humour, anyone disagreeing shall be shot at dawn, of course.

usually a few people will go 'thx' or type 'GLHF', some other jaded souls will call me dirty names, but I don't care.

I used to follow it up with "And remember: this is FTW!!!" but I got lazy and stopped. The former suffices.

There is nothing that can be called good about a game when a match goes roflstomprs.. For either side.. cmon really grow up.

It's intended to be a "thank you for playing." If you take it personally you are perhaps being a little too sensitive.
