Hey does anyone now how the critical hit chance is calculated for the LB 10-X AC?

In Smurfy's it says 14% 2 damage 8% 4 damage 3% 6 damage

Does this mean for every shot fired all of the bullets will have these critical hit chances? Or for each individual bullet hit it calculates separately?

Also how do the % work, does it roll 3 times 1 time for 14, 1 time for 8, 1 time for 3?

Or does it roll once for 14% and then depending on where within the 14 it rolled it will determine 14 8 or 3?

Thanks for the help, any input would be much appreciated.

In short, it doesn't matter. Since criticals don't impart damage to internal structure, just items (and not even built-in ones, like cockpits, actuators, etc) and you need to destroy a compartment to kill/hobble a mech (i.e. critting out the engine does nothing, you need to kill the CT - or RT/LT with XL - to nuke the mech), 'crit-seeking' weapons are still not worth taking against an unarmoured section over a real one, never mind when you consider chewing through the armour first.

That said, in answer to your query, each pellet has it's own crit chance (unless something has changed since I last checked, etc, etc)

It has an increased crit chance of 14 % yadda yadda..
IIRC, every bullet has a chance to crit. If it crits, it does 2 dmg.
Chance to crit exactly once: 25 % + 14 % = 39 %
Chance to crit exactly twice: 14 % + 8 % = 22 %
Chance to crit three times: 3 % + 3 % = 6 %

=> Chance to crit at least once: 39 % + 22 % + 6 % = 67 %

If it crits say three times, it does a total of 3*2 dmg. But each crit hits a random item in the section it hits (if it is unarmored). The chance to hit an item is proportional to the amount of critical slots it has divided by the amount of crit slots used in that section. E.g. you have an SRM6 (2 crit slots) and a ML (1 crit slots) in your arm. Then there's a 75 % chance that IF there's a critical hit, it hits the SRM6.
