I think the concept is a good one. Maybe not exactly on the way that it has been suggested in this thread,but the devs definitely should take a look.
There should be intensives for keeping your heat below X% and not keep over heat alpha every 3 seconds.

Now that you mention it, having incentives for keeping yourself at a low heat level is good. I mean, it wouldn't be very hard with a 3ML, 2 SSRM raven because those things run very cool, but hey, Posted Image

@OP: Another great suggestion to add to the longs list of ECM fixes.

Two LLasers..., well that's your problem, there. I run 3Mlaser+TAG and AC5; no heat issues.

At one point, I used 3 meds+1lrg... cooling required the use of the large laser, so I could alpha the meds more often. It worked more or less.

Well mr. Piemaker, the bonus could be scaled from weight class to weight class. you know 12% for a light and 16% for medium etc...

But yea, I know it's not conon ,but since when is MWO?
We're getting news of coolant, ugh it makes my stomach turn every time I hear of it.

Point in case, wouldn't you agree your mech runs probably faster and aims better at 0-10% heat than 99? I certainly like to think so. There definitely should be repercussions for hovering your mech over 85% and incentives for keeping it below 20%. obviously this should be scaled based on weight class so that it zero heat scouts don't get even more overpowered than they already are :>
