Interesting point. I'm not much of a mech decorator, any thoughts? I might actually enjoy having the founders camo and colors available for my other mechs.

I'd like to make my trial jenner look less like a rusted ****. I'd love for the opposite to be possible.

I just want the colors unlocked and available for re-use. I really doubt they'd ever allow the pattern to be put on any other mechs.

But the problem I run into is if I wanted to change my founders atlas' pinstripe color, I cannot change it back because there is no available color of the same shade.

@Damocles
If you look closely you'll notice the colour picker is made up of two squares, the new colour you set, and the original yellow.
Click on the lower yellow box to reset it to its default colour.

You're welcome.

How would the founder's colors be exclusive to the founders mechs if they were available for every mech and anyone could use them?

Only those who have Founders 'Mechs would have it unlocked, same as how the PC Gamer camo colours are unlocked if you have that camo.

That is what we're asking.

On that note, I asked about it on the NGNG podcast no. 59, and Garth said he'd look into it.

I've never really understood the need to change the founders mechs. They were specifically designed with differences to the standard camos. They look beat up, battle worn and different to anything else available. That's kind of the point of them really. I understand some people want to recolor them but in my mind they are basically hero mechs that can't be changed.

You made a very good point big A I will have to think about it some more. The origional founders should have something special though they paid the bucks and should get a perk. But then on the other hand. Hmm well maybe not.

Maybe the letters founder should be put on the mechs. I have yet to see a founders patch come to think i don't
even know where it is. :)

that just ignores the whole point of what i was asking. How would they be exclusive to the founders mechs (as they were intended) if you could put them on any mech?

I actually dont really care about that gold and blue, but I want to repaint the mech so it draws less face-aggro.

I was having a talk with a couple guys about this the other day, but with the Hero Mechs. You should get the Hero Mech's colors and pattern unlocked when you buy them. Same should be the case with the Founders.

These things aren't cheap. The colors should come with the package. Besides, a Commando with the Pretty Baby color scheme would look awesome.

Had I known initially you wouldn't be able to paint your hero mech even I probably wouldn't have bothered. Hero mechs come with better paint schemes and better cbill bonus, founder bonus isn't all that great considering how ripped off we get in options for our mechs.

OK, well I thought it'd overwrite like in previous version of camospec.

However you seem to not understand the issue at hand; the color is not unlocked. We (founders) paid for a paint scheme, and while the pattern may be tied to our founders chassis, the color should be available for use by anyone (just already paid for by us).

"You're welcome" :)

The MC Camo Blue is awfully close to Founder Blue. So I guess it's the skin that's "exclusive" - not the colors.
