Topic is pretty self-explanatory. Share some golden advice aimed at you or just anyone, in the chat.

What prompted this thread was this nugget I saw some days ago;
"Don't use Trial mechs because it hurts the team."

AS7-D-DC with 2x LBX10-AC and 3x SRM6 is very fun to use... both torsos are shotguns. It is quite highly effective tbh.

Yes they do, it is the left eye (if you are looking at them, it is the right eye).

One of my biggest pet peeves: the sideline critics. You got yourself on the sidelines, and I'm still fighting, 'nuff said.

A good one from the other day: I was playing with my PPC AWS-8Q, on Forest City, sitting on a hilltop, zoomed in and sniping for the majority of the match. When it became obvious that my team was getting slaughtered, I waded out into the action, blasting away. These things are PPCs, so I inevitably overheated when blasting my way towards the enemy, no longer paying attention to heat like I should. Upon overheating, my thermal goes off and I unzoom, at which the always assistive peanut gallery chimed in with a "god, Ferret, why won't you zoom?"

Well done, peanut gallery, well done.

No you see 10 shots that all do one point of damage are fricking awesome.

As to thread - "Thirdstar go check the base for that capper" I was in my D-DC.

To not stick together and basically go off on your own. This was from a usually non-pugger saying it didn't matter for PUGs because he was arrogant or something, so he goes off on his own and dies first.

Yeah sure I really want to become a member of your lamer-club because that is why I play online games.

Worst "advice" ever.

For that tonnage, why not put in 2 UAC5s? Or an AC20?
The main draw of most ballistics is focused damage at a low "heat buck", at the cost of tonnage. The LBX is unfocused, which would be okay until you realize that SRMs are functionally very similar, but do the job much better. Yeah, you're out of missile slots, but instead of trying to make the ballistic slots function like a very expensive, crappy missile slot, how about you focus on their strong points?

I wish there was a weapon that did the same damage, weighed 8 tons less, took up two less crit slots and was cheaper!

Oh wait, there is. It's called the AC/20.

For me that translates into - if you want 3rd person view, leave the game. Not that ridiculous, albeit a bit devious ;-)
