I'd play it.
But they'd have to take out weapon convergence completely (at least for torso weapons).

Is anyone interested in a harcore type mode where mech armour is the same as the pen and paper game?
Weopons tike the AC/20 would feel powerfull like they should and actually kill small mechs in one shot.

Call me in.
It would be a cautious slow kind of gameplay or instant death.
You got to be skilful. I enjoy the gameplay right now, but an alternative approach would be fine as well.

Starting a match 7 vs. 8 and we get a disconnect at the beginning now down by 2 end up winning with 2 mechs still up is hardmode.

I'd like to give this mode a try, at least for a week or so.
With my already paper-thin armor the difference should be negligible, but when my weapons suddenly do "double damage" I could take down an Atlas in half the time.
Lots of people seem to think that Lights benefit most from the double armor, but I think that actually it is Assaults. Yes, everyone dies "less quickly", but given that weapon damage values stay the same, the difference between 20 and 10 armor on a fast-moving target is somewhat less notable than between 60 and 30 on a slow moving one.

how about a hardcore mode with Repair and Rearm.
and Mechs are lost for real if they die. like EvE

Let's take it a step further: If you mech is headshotted and/or you don't eject, your account is deleted forever. Any components destroyed on your mech if you survive would be deleted (i.e. weapons, ammo, etc.). Sounds fun, right?
