The next Hero Mech arrives on 5th March Patch

Looking at what we have so far, I'd say it's looking pretty likely to be a Medium.

We already have the YLW Centurion, so it must be a Hunchback, Cicada, or possibly Trebuchet(who arrives in the next patch).

We know that lore isn't strictly necessary for the creation of a new hero mech, so that isn't much help.

Anyone like to hazard a guess what we might see hitting the field in less than 3 weeks?

I kinda hope it's a HBK but have a hunch(:P) it could be a heroic Treb.

We need the hero medium to be a Cicada called the Garthmobile.

I'm going with the Hunchback. Maybe a light too?

looking at what they've done so far, it's been either the newest mech (the ilya) or a mech that is under represented in the game - the hunchback is neither of these things so I'm guessing it won't be that

I can see the logic that says it will be a medium as the YLW is the oldest, so mediums should be "next" as it were... but then the fang and flame came out right after the Ilya so...

I would buy the **** out of a hero cicada.

Somehow, though, I don't see that happening

I doubt they hero out any founders mechs .. so that takes away 4, minus the hero mechs we already have.. your left with
Spider
Raven
Cicada
Treb
Stalker
my money would be on the cicada out of that list.

I would have to say Cicada also. However I would love to see a STK hero mech but with the QQing about the Awesome and its MC price and general functionality. I think it will be a very long time till we see a assault hero.

I bought, hated and sold my ECM Cicada

I can't see it being another assault any time soon, but if they make a stalker they can has my MC right now

OKay a quick browsing of the TROs I found, SO maybe the Trench Bucket, could do a dual release like Fang and Flame. Yes I know they do not always follow lore however when the mech has the option from a TRO they seem to take it and the Trebuchet would be a solid choice. The custom 5K "snowball" would be nice and a good deviation form the norm of heros right now.

Busosenshi Sharron Burgoz: Assigned to the Sorenson’s
Sabres as an ISF informant, Burgoz eventually grew closer
to her unit than handlers anticipated. Her custom 5K
Trebuchet (nicknamed “Snowball”) was a special variant
undergoing testing by the DCMS. This version was an attempt
to see if direct weapons fi re-support could be a
viable alternative to the more traditional indirect missile
support in the long term, both in combat and logistically,
by replacing the conventional Trebuchet weaponry
with an autocannon, particle projection cannon, and a
single SRM 2 pack. The outcome of the experiment is unknown;
the proliferation of new technology in the following
decades so radically shook up the Combine’s design
bureaus that sensible, simple experiments like this were
lost in the chaos.
Lieutenant Morgana Kirkpatrick: A support lance
commander in a minor mercenary command known
as Kirkpatrick’s Bandit Killers, Lieutenant Kirkpatrick is
a raven-haired Canopian native whose maiden name
(LaFayre) and penchant for wearing black leather off -
duty attire have earned her the nickname “the Witch”
amongst her comrades. Yet the wife of the Bandit Killers’
commander, James Kirkpatrick (and mother of the couple’s
only child), ranks among one of the most cool and
collected warriors in the battalion. Her ancient, battleworn
Trebuchet was often seen holding the rear line of
Bandit Killers’ battle formations, providing a constant rain
of cover fi re alongside her heavier lancemates (including
a Quickdraw and a Stalker) while fending off anything fast
enough to breach the front lines to engage them directly.
During a foray on the world of Andiron for House Steiner,
the Witch and her Trebuchet “Rain Maker” accounted for
three Circinian bandit kills, including a vintage Hussar
whose origins remain a mystery.

My money is on the Trebuchet. It'll be the newest, and also the most likely to need a kick in the pants for people to bother with. Depending on what variants they choose, it may allow a bigger engine than the other 50 ton mechs, and equip jumpjets. That won't be enough if it just gets 3 energy and 2 missile hardpoints. If they give it 4+ missile hard points and/or ECM, well, that might be another story. So far, no Hero Mechs have had ECM though.

LOVE my ECM cicada. Takes a certain type of pilot to be really good with it though, thats for sure.

A hero stalker would also be great! The price, however, would probably keep me from buying it. The stalker already earns more than it's fair share per match due to it's unusually high dmg output in the common LRM and SRM builds
