I have found a bug that I can consistently reproduce. Whenever I equip my DRG-1N's right arm with an LB 10X for the very first time, and then save the loudout and play a game with it, the key that I normally have assigned for toggling weapon groups is reverted to the default.

To be as precise as possible: each command in the game can be assigned two different triggers (a keypress or mouse press). For toggle weapon group, the default key is rctrl. Because my keyboard (HHKB Professional) does not actually have a rctrl, I always assign the second trigger for the toggle weapon group command to my F key.

This assignment is wiped clear every time I equip the above listed weapon. It may work with other weapons too, but I don't have many others and haven't had it happen when adding in an AC/5.

My hunch is that this could be an issue with a profile XML file not getting saved or updated properly. I don't know exactly where all these profile XML files are located, but I do know that they store all the key bindings and weapon groupings. For an example of what a profile XML file looks like, read http://mwomercs.com/...per-easy-to-do/

I would also check the program's omnicron.log file to see if any errors occur around the same time you notice the key getting unbound.

Hi there!

This is currently as designed behaviour. Editing any weapon in your loadout will reset the weapon groups associated with the hard-points edited.

No I don't think you've heard me out or read my post all the way through. I am well aware that changing a hardpoint resets the weapon group for that hard point. My post is not at all about that.

This is more than just resetting the weapons groups. In fact my post is not at all about the weapon groups themselves.

This is resetting my KEY BINDINGS, in options, for assigning weapon groups. This is, indeed, a bug. It's consistently reproducible in the way I described, and doesn't happen when I do this to other mechs with other weapons. Please remove the 'Not a bug' tag, because this is indeed a bug.

edited for emphasis, because it very much bothers me that a company would mis-read and tag-to-ignore an actual bug report in their beta product.

Bump. I don't mean to be rude, but this really bothers me, to go to the trouble to test something, and have it be ignored.

Here's what your reponse makes it sound like I'm doing: changing a weapon, going into the game, and being surprised that it is now set to Group 1 instead of Group 4 like it had it set to before.

That's not it. And I know that's expected behavior.

Here's what is actually happening: changing a weapon, going into the game, and finding out that you can't change weapon groups at all because your key binding for 'toggle weapon group' doesn't work any more.
