If Your Argument Has The Words, "table Top," In It...

I have seen so many threads about ECM such as, "Table Top this and Table Top that... Angel, Guardian, yada yada." Listen, ECM is what it is. If it's tweaked in the future then that is decided by the design team, not Table Top rules. This holds true for all game design choices. Whether or not the design team is inspired by Table Top is again, their choice.
Obviously all of the systems in this game will adhere to the BT universe, but that does not mean this game will ever be a Table Top clone. Therefore, citing Table Top functionality is totally pointless, and imo, needs to come to an end so that discussions on actual gameplay can begin.
Once the notion of Table Top rules is discarded, then this game can become some thing of its' own. Then, the players can actually talk about how systems work within the game, without some one coming in to the conversation and comparing an apple to an orange.
Abandon the logic that any aspect of this game should mirror Table Top.

Such a pivotal statement to base your argument on not only contrasts with the Developers' stance that this game is being heavily influenced by the TT rules, but is also very inflammatory and demeaning.

You are right, they do, but how close is up to them. Therefore, speculating on how an item should better reflect TT is going to be their decision based on data collected. So, talking about splitting ECM in to pieces and such, imo, seems like a waste of effort since in the end it is the design team's decision to do so.
IMO, a more productive conversation is about how the current gameplay actually is, not how it should better reflect TT.

My argument was directed at no one specific person, but at a specific type of logic that is often used by players.
Please reconsider jettisoning an entire thread due to the second sentence of an overall argument, thank you.

Too bad he's right, grog. This real time video game is not a turn based board game. The sooner everyone, especially the devs, realize this the better we'll all be.

Wow, two threads jettisoned in as many days.
Perhaps you should abandon the logic that any aspect of your posts should state views other than your own are wrong...

The nerfed double heat sinks and lack of seeing myself in underwear in the cockpit are killing my immersion...
