Just wondering what people's preferred playstyles are :)

This is the first time I have ever seen the word "flit" (second poll option).

Also, Nevermore.

Needs an option for Jack of All Trades. Players who like to try out all roles and who can carry out those roles with average efficiency.

What about Skirmisher... midway between sniping and brawler... (doesn't always have to be fast)

Yea I limited it to one, to really push out what's a mechwarrior's most liked role. It's a bit like the other thread, where someone asked what's your most comfortable mech. Personally, I have a mech for all 6 roles there.

I don't want to add a "Jack of all Trades" because that's like the "Average" option in any poll. But I will add in a defined role that I've missed out.

Oh, Escort & Skirmisher - that's tricky. I may have to rethink that for a future poll; there's some overlap with the existing options.

I support, mainly.

I have my Founders 4G set up very close to the stock variant and use him as a mobile turret for heavier friendlies.

My other mech, a Cat K2 is set up with dual PPCs and dual large lasers, I use this mech to pester enemies attacking friendlies. If a weak mech is all alone I will move in close and destroy it.

I'm building a Spider 5D(?) for close support right now.

I've never had much luck with commanding other people, I usually have a good idea of how I should play but not what the team should do. I don't really have a mech for brawling, as I tend to get torn apart very quickly. I'll scout a little bit but I usually am not in a mech that's well suited for the job.

Agility over power, generally. Never pilot anything slower than 80kph.

I'm running a Cent-D these days. Fast and powerful, but sure not good for taking a hit on the chin.

A little of column B and C, but as I pilot heavies I must go with C. Nothing like driving a DRG-FLM at 90 KPH, putting precise laser fire into a medium range target with surgical precision. Using my arm range and speed to outmaneuver and slice up a target before switching attack angles and doing it all over again. Moving like water along a riverbed, flowing around obstacles, yet eroding foundations.

I actually change rolls in the middle of a match depending on what my team needs.

Yeah, also needs an option for Tank (Atlas!)

I did John Wayne Brawling, but I consider myself to be close-medium range fire support (in my CTF-2X) for tanky mechs like the Atlas. I'm quite adept at nailing lights with ER PPC/2 MPL combo, and a double shot of SRM4 when they slow too much, overheat, or land from a jump.
