"Offers were coming in from all over the planet, especially to make or license a free-to-play MechWarrior game.

During much of the past 12 months there was a local group that also had a large amount of interest in developing and publishing a MechWarrior title. Once Piranha had become the license holder they came over immediately and met with us. From this point onward we decided to combine our efforts with Piranha as the rights holder and with them as the Publisher. After about 6 months of hard work together, funding had been secured, Infinity Game Publishing was born and development could begin." By Bryan Ekman

They are from Quebec Canada which is where Ubisoft is based out of and correct if I am wrong but EAs has facility for upcoming game developing companies.

For over 10 years Microsoft held the rights to mechwarrior but never did anything with it. Once Smith & Tinker got the rights and signed a deal with Piranha people all over the world started asking to make or license a Mechwarrior game.

Interesting, wonder who these interested parties are?
As stated above who was the group that Piranha joined with?

I was just wondering the same thing. They are funding three innovative games, all F2P, at what appears to be quite a risk. We should tip our hats to Anthony Brown who is responsible for it all.

Trends seem to by cyclical. With so much Mecha coming this way, it's definitely a good jumpstart to hail in a 10+ year reign of Mechanized goodness. I got my bankroll right here, IGP, if PGI stays the course, it's all yours!

Where it says about third parties.

They're here to make free to play games and distribute them, I dont like this, Steam is already adding free to play games, then theres G1, hell maybe even Origin, but I doubt because EA wants to keep it expensive and classy thats what I think. (5 star hotel) Then of course half dozen of Asian-based ones, like Perfect Worlds.

Make a deal with Steam, just like HiRez did with Global Agenda.
