so ive been trying to play for two days with no comms its baaaad very bad you need comms to be effective in fact id go so far as to say being on comms makes the game ! its hard to describe for people who dont use comms just how much better the playing experience is on comms .

because i live in a remote rural location way oop north i had to wait two days for my replacement to arrive , its here now so i can listen to all the wonderfull craic on ts the jokes the insults the ITS A RAVEN ITS CRESTING! eh no remorse .

no really being on comms is the way to play mwo

truth fully ive gone thru more head sets in the last two years than i care to admit on open forums . last years pups chewed a few and this years pup chewed thru its first one two days ago . i should learn to put them out of reach .

dollar store will have cheep mic for pc's. you sound like you are coming form a tin can but at least its a cheep backup system.

i had a nice logitech headset but it was usb had it for donkeys years my 2 year old sometimes tried to put them on his head. long story short he broke them. so i ended off buying a nice wireless headset about 2 weeks ago.

Actually hot sauce of some type may be more useful and less likely to get OP arrested. YMMV though, my dog likes hot sauce.

You can plug an old set of normal headphones into the mic jack on your computer and still get outbound if you dial up the settings to compensate for the poor performance. Earbuds work as well, but you'll need to make some sort of stand or headset contraption to get the bud acting as a mic close enough to your face to register everything.
