Some of my friends want to make a MWO group and we can't seem to find a way to create one. Is there a way?

Nothing in game. There are plenty out of game already, thats where they would have to start. And the merc recruitment forums.

Guild uh? you want to join a traders guild? Or a clan? which one Fire mandrill? Jade Falcon? Wolf? *sarcams* New guys, inner sphere are called REGIMENTS! Learn the lore guys. Clan's in this IP DO have a meaning.

they are working on the community thing, they've said they are going to be rolling out 1 portion at a time in the lead up to community warfare. so next might be ingame player groups not just faction affiliation.

they also need to add a decent chat system that everyone can use. why there isnt a general chat where people can ask questions is beyond me. if there was we'd probly kept more noobs if they didnt have to ask every question in the forums or not at all.

I suppose, but in the general MMO universe a "guild' is an acceptable term. I know the lore, have tons of books and been playing MechWarrior since MW2. When this question popped into my head, I searched for "how to create a guild." Why, because that is a common MassMultiplayerOnline term. Call it what you will, but there is little reason to be an *** about it, Draco.

This is the kind of person id like to SOQIWJOQWIDJ[wdj ABOUT AND KICK HIS LKGFKS'GLS A ALL OVER THE PLACE. Personally I would welcome a RP/PVE or clan or inner sphere role in the game right now MWO is kind of bland and generic.

You'd have to roll a 20 first.

check out enjin.com site if you want to form your own. Otherwise you can check out the recruitment threads and look for one to join. As others have said there is nothing within the game that supports the creation of a guild, its all outside of the game.

From what I recall, the 1st phase on community warfare will allow players to create/join merc corps/houses etc.

Best way is to start a recruitment thread at the appropriate sub forum and take it from there...

I would suggest ngng ts3 for comms as they you up with your own channel and unit leader permissions...

Another route would be to ask to join existing units as a separate sub unit - you can benefit from their infrastructure and still have some autonomy if you are just a group of friends that want to play together...

I was pretty sure in one of the previous MechWarrior games (I think MW2: Mercs) they referred to the Mercenary Review and Bonding Commission (MRBC) as a "Mercenary's Guild"... IE, a Guild for Mercenary units. I think they oversaw official contracts and ran things like MercNet and were responsible for assigning units with a "Dragoon Rating".

That's right, they did.
