Then tell him to quit; I'm objecting more to the "we need less bads" part of your post. I guess if what you said in this post was your intent, it could have been phrased as:
"If you're not willing to learn how to counter / deal with it, then quit."
[edit to highlight:] Gets the same point across without sounding so pompous.
(Your point about people not searching for similar threads is well taken. That should be one of the first courses of action before making a new thread.)
Know what sounds pompous?

Posts like these really irritate me. Not only is it completely condescending, but it's very short sighted for game logevity.
I know, it's the internet and this type of dismissive comment is common... which in turn makes it, unfortunately, more accepted. I just wish people had more common curtesy. Is it that hard to give quick tips like:
"If you rely heavily on lock on weapons (LRM / SSRM), consider picking up TAG or PPCs (next patch)."
"Thermal vision is useful to spot ECMed mechs. Remember, friendly targets with LOS will always have a blue arrow over them, even if ECMed. So a thermal target without an arrow is an enemy."
"As a general rule, stay with the group, there is strength in numbers, even when ECMed."
No, not everyone has the same knowledge of in game mechanics, tactical thinking, aim, or computer (computer performance can have a big impact), but to dismiss them entirely because they demonstrate a single flaw?
As I said, before, it's also a bad idea for the game's longevity. More players means stronger word of mouth, which attracts more players. It also means more chances of people spending money, which means more revenue for PGI, and thus funding to continue patching and adding new content. Don't forget that MWO is a PvP centric game and without a big enough community, the model falls apart. ("Failed to find a match" anyone?) It'd be very unhealthy for "all the bads" to leave.
Yes it can be frustrating to be on a team of people who don't play as a team, play poorly, suicide, or any number of things. I get that... but I also know that I started off being quite terrible, too. (No, that's not implying I'm awesome now.)
People have distressingly limited perspectives.
