Once Dropship Mode is installed the default mech bays should be upped to least 8 or purchasable with C-Bills.
The Problem:
Players wishing to participate in Dropship mode will have to have two variants of the same mech chassis. The process of mastering mechs, makes it so a player must sell two at least mastered mechs, to make room for the 3 variants of the new mech to master. Then sell one of the newly mastered mech variants to re-buy one of the old ones. This does not sound good as an in game “goal”. This limits the free players to one or two whole weight classes ranges and unable to try anything new, like say an assault mech instead of a heavy and a light, without starting the above process over again.
As you can see from my game data, this situation doesn’t apply to me, personally. But, coupled with competitive play, this would become a viability issue just as the Repair Bill limiting free players configurations and the player who spent MC for premium mech/time have clear in-game play advantage. Especially if tonnage or class limits are placed on Company drops once House on House warfare happens.
