Since a recent windows update, every time I start the game, windows says "there is no disk in the drive". If I hit retry/continue 5 or 6 times the client will run, but it is very annoying.
Any idea why this is happening or how to stop it? The file listed is MWOclient.exe.

Odd. Try running MWO as an administrator. Only thing I can think of.

Windows 8? Updates? LOL
If you are a gamer, you install win 7 x64 sp1 and never install any Microsoft updates. And your computer will run as a Swiss clock.

That's not the wisest course of action since MS released quite a number of important security updates since SP1.

After a little google-fu, I found that windows apparently has problems with flash drives. The culprit turns out to be my printer of all things. If i turn off my printer every thing works normally. I've had this printer for a year, Microsoft can break anything! especially their own software.
I hope that if anyone else comes across this problem, that this thread will give them a hint as to where to look.
Flash drives, portables/externals can cause Win7 to associate software with the drive.

Wrong. As system administrator I worked with used to say: 'MS fix 1 thing and break 10 more in their updates'. I have NIS 2013 to worry about security. If you need a clockwork gaming machine you do as I said.
