I bring it up incase anyone wants to make a unit from the DCMS I can post the "lore about them" Just ask me who or what unit you want info on and I'll type it up and post on the forums. the book is black and white so any "badges" would be only semi usefull unless you can colour them yourself.

There's some unit information on "Brigade level" in the earlier House Kurita handbook as well (though it pre-dates some of the units). You can download the book from Sarna from the book's entry page.

5Th Sword of Light : The Gold Dragon

The 5th sword of light represents the Pillar of Gold, the goverment of the Draconis combine. Its Symbol is the Kurita crest with a goldren Dragon. At one time the regiment specilized in city fighting, but it lost much of its expertise as a result of sutaining heavy losses during the Fourth Suceesion war and the war of 3039.

The Fourth Succession war and the War of 3039 were not kind to the 5th Sword of Light . Beofre those wars, the unit was an elite regiment of devoted warriors. However, repeated attacks by the Federated Commonwealth during those hostilities reduced the unit to a battalion of green troops. Takashi Kurita kept the 5th out of heavy fighting against the Clans, assigining the unit varios escourt duties as it slowly rebuilt. Only the special consideration received by all the Sword of Light regiments kept the Bureau of Substitution from disbanding the 5th, and the battered unit had to borrow from other Sword of Light regiments just to assemble a skeleton command staff. The 5th Sword of light tried to recruit as many veteran troops as possible, but the Bureau of Substitition forced the unit to accept more regular and green troops than it wwanted because the more expereinced soldiers were desperatly needed to face the clan onslaught.

The 5ths commanding officer, Tai-sa Hohiro Tastuma, has assembled an elite technical and logistics support staff, but the unit's ability to regain its former prestiege remains questionable.

Officers:

Tai-sa Tastuma realizes that his re-created regiment is essentially a new unit and has chosen to judge all recruits solely by their combait ability and devotion to House Kurita. His reluctance to reject otherwise acceptable candidates simply because they are women is a departure from Combine tradition, but it has attracted several tallented female soldiers and officers.

Sho-sa Kerri Tanaga, one of TAi-sa Tastuma's earliest recruits, commands the Second Battalion's second Battlemech company under Tanaga's leadership, this company has developed considerable expertise in scouting maneuvers, making excellent use of TAG and C3 Systems. Tanaga recently proposed the 5th divide various battlefrield specialities between battalions and between companies in a battalion, so that hte 5th Swrd regiment can retain a compat edge no matter what type of mission it faces.

The man in charge of hte 5th Sword of Light's technical and logistics support is Chi-i Casper Rodriguez. He and hi two aides, Sho-ko Carrington and Sho-ko Horne, work overtime to Build an d maintain the elite support unit that Tai-sa Tastuma desires.

5th Sword of Light.
Expanded REgiment/Green/Fanatical
CO/First Batt: Tai-sa Hohiro Tastuma
XO: Chu-sa Kristine Johnson

Second Batt: Chu-sa Kent Palmer
Second Company : Sho-sa Kerri Tanaga
Third Batt: Chu-sa Christian Chang
Fourth Batt: Chu-sa Astin Kolchiara
Support CMDR: Chu-i Casper Rodriguez

The Regiment has slightly relaxed its loyality standard to aquire the best technical and logistic minds available. The unit will not take on anyone whose loyality it consider questionable, but Tastuma does not require that technical and support personal display the same fanatical loyality as the 5th Mechwarriors.

All of the 5th technicians possess elite levels of skill when dealing with inner sphere technology, and many of the malso have a solid base in technical theory. They are only slightly less proficient in working with Clan Technologly. The 5th also maintains a group of logisitics experts to handle supply and travel.

Sorry for the spelling mistakes I typed it from the book as fast as I could

Also could you tell me what district sorrensens sabres might be in so I can narrow my search in the book thanks
