If this has already been answered, I apologize; I couldn't find it in this subsection.
Anyways, I understand that holding left CTRL allows you to "free-look" without twisting your torso. Is there a way to do the same thing but also aim your " o " arm reticule where you are looking?
I have the Centurion and would like to shoot across body with my arm mounted weapons without also having my torso twist that direction.
Thanks.

How Do You "free-Aim" With Your Arm?

The free look using the CTRL key pressed would be your free aim. That "o", as noted, is the arm cross hairs. If the o is inside the cockpit, the arm weapons will not fire into the cockpit though, so no worries about cooking yourself or ricochets. It is cumbersome to use it that way but I have used it a few times to fire my arm weapons at one mech and torso weapons at another mech. Luckily they were both extremely damaged, allowing me to move onto the next surviving target.
edit. Update - This is good only for those mechs with arm actuators, like the atlas, hunchback and such, upto a point. Those mechs without arm actuators, like the jenner, cicada and raven, iirc, the "o" will not follow.

Don't know about shooting across the body, never tried it, but from the video I gather when you hold Left CTRL, the 'o' moves with the view.

You can only aim your arms on mechs with arm actuators. Otherwise they are locked to center torso.

It does. When enabled/Cntrl pressed down there is no torso twist possible, only changing mech direction itself. Releasing the cntrl key then bounces the cross hairs back together.
Correction.
The o will go only so far, with those with arm actuators, as posted above. Those mechs without AA, the o will not move. Sorry, 99% of the mechs I pilot have arm actuators.

Thanks everyone. I am moving to the Cent' from the Cata', which clearly has no "arms" so didn't have the arm reticule follow the free-look.
