Wait, am I to understand you are only waiting to educate the unknowing this is a pay 2 win game and then you will leave?

If I say it is pay 2 win, will you go away permanently? :D

So how is it pay to win again?

Apparently because he says so. Obviously he has seen some P2W titles in his day.

I wrote a post so long that the website timed me out. I'll just put a quick synopsis here:

1: Matchmaking is going to get much better in two days with the introduction of ELO rating and MM phase 3.
2: I'm sorry you had a bad time, but founders have no advantage on the battlefield at all other than having more time already invested into the game. This usually amounts to more pilot skills / mech xp unlocked, or just more familiarity with the maps/'mechs/strategy involved. These are all things that can be acquired by a non-paying player.
3: Your tone makes it difficult to campaign for F2P players and I hope you reconsider the anger and divisiveness in your original post.

I too am concerned about the longevity of the game, and the discrimination against F2P players, but I'm afraid that your anecdotal evidence of a few games where the enemy team was all-founder and your team had none doesn't hold much water, considering most games are blowouts 8-0 or 8-1 regardless of founder status.

Matchmaker at the time of this writing is severely limited, so even if you play well, you can't necessarily expect to win every game. Give it two days, literally, patch is on Tuesday.

Edit: If you came in here with a well-thought out argument about how Flame, Ilya, and Pretty Baby have advantages over other chassis, such as hardpoint layout or max engine speed, I'd be inclined to understand. If you were going to talk about how 6 variants (which is ~10.7% of the variants in the game at the time of this writing) are locked away to paying-only customers, I'd be inclined to understand.

But instead you're saying that you lost to a couple all-founder teams, which has happened to everyone and will happen less with the new matchmaking.

1. Too long - didn't read...

2. Answering an obvious troll post with logic is futile.

Awesome, so my first post gets thrown down to the trash pit due to the fact that some mod doesn't like what I have to say.

Let me elaborate. I can either spend hundreds/thousands of hours grinding to save up for an Atlas with gauss/ac 20s OR I can just pull out the wallet and buy one.

Compare this to a game like League of Legends where a cheap character can go toe to toe with a more expensive one.

Actually, you'll make about 80k per game, and if we pretend an atlas is 11 millions, it'd take you some 130 games, which represents 4 minutes per game...for some 9 hours of playing before you can buy it. This is a worst case scenario, and you'll likely have the time cut in half if you don't underperform.

That's the most expensive mech in the game. 4 hours of gaming to buy an atlas? Not a problem.

Again, how is this pay to win? I spent 60 dorrahs for my elite tag, and have yet to use all the disney dollars the deal came with.

At this point I think we're better off posting images of paperclips.

If they sold a module that increased all damage done by 20% for 10,000 MC I would totally buy it.

If this game is already pay to win I don't see the harm in it.

I actually want to do this, and I'm kind of annoyed that I can't run one in each mode.

As a huge mech warrior fan and someone who loves video games way too much, I was extremely excited when i first heard about this game. That excitement soon turned into disappointment after a few days of playing the game. There is no escaping the truth that this is a "pay 2 win" game. That fact alone will discourage all the casual players eventually. Yes the developers need money, but there are other ways to do it. Every game seems to turn into whoever has the most founders, wins.

Yes I expect to be flamed by founders for writing this, but I know I am not alone in seeing the truth.

Dude! you've been a member for all of 5 days. if you have been playing for less than a month you have some catching up to do.

Elo is getting warmed up to hopefully level the playing field, Give it a minute, see what happens. If you still get rolled, supposedly the game WILL balance you soon enough.

Well I'd ask if I can have your stuff when you leave, but you haven't been around enough to even have any. It's not like I even need it though, for I have an Eleeet founder's package which allows my mech to be invisible and fly without jumpjets and shoot farther and faster and not ever overheat and it came with a year's supply of double-damage ammo. Too bad you didn't get in on this one bro...

And dost with neckbeard, nerd and sperglord dwell
And posting forums can make us rage as well
And better then thy stroake; why swell'st thou then
One short rage past, we sperg eternally
And mech shall be no more; mech, thou shalt die
