..or any other game you played ?
i was driving and it was a misty day..i found myself looking at the cockpit for heat vision
back in the days when i was playing more fps games..i was checking all corners and shadowy areas for threats...and when I played Half life..i started to take the stairs and avoid the elevators .
when i played colinmcrae rally - driving in my car was a real torture...i was feeling an itch to pull the handbrake when cornering..

I think perhaps you take your games a tad too seriously.

you know you've played Battlefield Bad Company 2 too much when you look up at the sky and think a bird flying overhead might be a UAV...

No, sounds about right. I worked a 12hr night shift MWO for 7, slept 2, shower shave work 12 and got home. Looked at bed, looked at keyboard, looked at bed..destroy all mechs.
I was walking like a mech scanning L&R. Snapped out of it.
MechwarriorOnline. All other priorities rescinded.

i don't think it has anything to do with "seriousness" - do one thing for a long time, anything, and your brain starts to develop patterns - its science - to help you do that thing easier. if you didn't experienced anything similar you are not a gamer

I have been known to look at trees and think to myself, "Wow, those are really awesome graphics."
