The following is a quote from a post a few backs, but ever since the patch last night I am getting the same exact problem and have never before had this in any of my 800+ matches played. my problem isn't limited to a certain mech or level it is doing it with all my mechs and all the maps, has anyone heard anything about this or have an idea why since yesterdays patch up to today it has been happening, and or a fix idea? thanks.
"Hi there,
Tonight both my friend and I were piloting Raven 3L's and noticed that our aim cursors/direction of the mech kept getting "nudged" by an invisible force.
We could be running in a straight line on a nearly flat surface, make a small turn then suddenly the server would turn us slightly in a random direction.
Needless to say this made normal aiming of lasers as well as streak locking very interesting at some points. It was like having a cute kitten on my desk occasionally swatting my mouse when I was trying to line up a shot.
It does not seem to be ping related as I am in Europe and have a 130-150ms ping, while he is in Canada and has a sub 30ms ping.
It seems as though the server is now telling us which way we are actually pointed with much more force than it should, and/or overriding our movement instructions to make us go where it thinks we should be going.
My guess is this is related to the ongoing netcode work." - Tolkien
I am in USA and my ping is usually 80 or below every match, so I am not sure what is suddenly causing this.

I had this happen a lot before the netcode fix. It stopped happening between then and yesterday's patch.
Since the mot recent patch, I've had an increase in latency of 15-30ms and weapons delay is back at pre-netcode-fix levels.

Closest I've had to this is every once in a while if I'm still alive at the end of the match my view will change to a hard left free-look (i.e., I'm looking out of the cockpit windows to the left of the pilot) upon the death of the last opfor mech.

I'm having the exact issue as described in the OP. I noticed it the day after the patch in several matches but then it seemed to go away the next time I played. I recently experienced it again though.
It seems very similar to clipping/rubber-banding another mech. It may even stem from this and cause your client to de-sync from the server for the remainder of the match. I tried re-booting after I experienced this last night and it seemed to go away.

I experienced this earlier today (server time), haven't tried again since. I believe it has something to do with packet loss and I suspect a connection issue as I'm also having some difficulty with the forums.

I have also experienced this.
Also when using LRM's I sometimes notice that I am not able to get a lock due to the "cute kitten on my desk occasionally swatting my mouse when I was trying to line up a shot" effect or even 'better' I have a lock and I fire, but before the missiles leave the tubes the "kitten swats my mouse", and lock is lost and missiles fly away as a now pretty, harmless, light show.
Even more annoying when trying to snipe however.

I consistently and exclusively get this behaviour when my roommate is using uTorrent. I suspect it has to do with the upstream bandwidth being congested, resulting in the game packets being sent unevenly. I guess you could call it packet delay variation / jitter?
So first step towards a fix is to ensure that you don't have any competing demands on your network (particularly upstream). Don't trust your roommate if she says she's not D/Ling or seeding, either...

Hi there - Thanks for quoting my post OP, as "cute kitten" swatting the mouse still seems the best way to describe this bug.
I want to comment on what you said Wildflame: If you read my quoted post again in OP's post you will see that I mentioned I noticed it at the same time as a friend from Canada (I am in Norway). This means it is server side since we are obviously on different ISPs and very different routes to the server. This is further corroborated by the observation that we would see it or not see it at the same time in many matches that have happened since.
I am not saying that a torrenting roommate won't also cause problems, I am just saying that this one is certainly and assuredly on the server side - otherwise a Norwegian and a Canadian player would not experience the effects simultaneously.

It happen to me also.
I'm happy to know that it is not a joystick related problem

I have the same problem, and it's kind of intermittent, but wasn't a problem at all before this patch. Some maps are more inclined to it, especially caustic.
Sometimes it's not that noticeable, others I will miss a target I had lined up by three or four mech lengths.
It's more linked to where the legs of my mech are going, especially after completing turns.
It's also getting worse, or it could be that I'm merely noticing it more, as I'm missing two out of every three PPC volleys to it. My workaround is to wait between one and three seconds to make sure the current location of my crosshairs isn't a fabrication.
I'm trying to be understanding about it, but in all honesty it makes me want to ingest my keyboard, cookie monster style.

I do think it's jitter.
However I also wonder if it's not on my end. I've been using Ping Plotter to double check, and I do have some packet loss (100%) in fact.
Anyways, I usually get a "Session Over" or whatever message and drop when this happens.
