So I've been particularly struggling with this for a while in recent times.
It seems like when I'm playing with my Atlas, I'm just far too slow (and short-reaching with MLAS, SRM6x3 and AC/20) to be able to stop annoying Ravens from capturing the base mid-battle when my team is at the other side of the map, and let's admit it, camping in your base is hella boring.
Simillar thing for Conquest: It's annoying that even when I have an exceptionally good match (had 1100 damage the other day on Conquest with a UAC5x2/LPLASx2 loadout), one last remaining Jenner keeps capping all of the points and my team is down to only a few heavy/assault mechs that the Jenner easily outmaneuvers, so while I gave out a good performance, I lost because I was piloting an assault Mech.
Shouldn't there be a gamemode that is based on pure combat, as in, Goal: Destroy the enemy team. Meaning that if some annoying Jenner decides to dance around the map when his whole team got killed by an obviously superior team, he'd just be wasting his time and the other team would win either way, so the guys that lived through the brutal skirmish could be rewarded properly.
Maybe I'm just unlucky, though.

I'd be down for this, though it's been suggested before here and there.
I'd love to have deathmatch, team deathmatch and other game-modes as well mixing up the battles now and again.
Though I don't think I'd enjoy straight deathmatch so much. Maybe give a checklist to opt out of certain game-modes(even if you're in a lance, unlike the current queue selection button).

The problem with Deathmatch is the last player(s) on the enemy team that run off, hide, and power down to avoid getting killed.
If there was a version of Assault that only allowed based to be capped once half of either team was destroyed, I think this would solve the issue.
