What will really bring the rain of tears is something like the Adder with 100kph stock speed an a pair of ER PPCs that deal the same damage as a Gauss rifle, or the Kit Fox D with 2x LRM15 and 1x LRM5 and a 100kph speed.

Nova Prime will be whined about probably too. 84 point alphas, yeah heat too but with an alpha like that...

Right now it's difficult to viably mount long range, high damage weapons on a light fast mech. Clans throw that right out the window and we'll see little monsters that can 2 shot you from a kilometer away and move as fast as anything out there right now.

Restrict Clan Mechs to the existing variants as the machines belonged to the Clan and not the individual pilot. NO flashy mechlab for them? :rolleyes:

Part of the reason for the omnimech was that it could be customized.

I'd say the best way to customize the mechs themselves would be unlimited/unrestricted hardpoints, but no ability to tinker with the armor or engine.

As for the weapons, they aren't supposed to be balanced with Inner Sphere weapons. Based off of, sure, but not balanced against them. The M16 isn't balanced compared to a Revolutionary War musket.

Making Omni Mechs less customizable than standard IS mechs would be fairly cannon breaking.

Making Inner Sphere mechs as customizable as they already are in the game is fairly canon breaking.

All I'm saying is fixed armor, engines, and a certain minimum number of heat sinks. But with no hardpoint restrictions, in quantity or type. Want to stuff 3 LB5X in a side torso? Go for it! Want to pull them for 4 LRM20s in the same location? Go for it!

You can already nearly replicate both those configs in game right now with the Trebuchet. They aren't as broken as you think, the 3PPC treb is pretty good though and it has jump jets. Clan LRMs will be broken if they are implemented as is. 5xLRM 20 madcats for 180 damage all range alphas, it'll be the splatcat 2.0

When you have to go up 15 or 20 tons to almost match weapons load and speed, there's a problem.

Clans (eventually) also get Streak LRMs. We know it's cheese-poof tech.

However, IS does get Streak SRM 4 & 6's later on (around the time the rest of level 2 tech begins to release).

Back to to the rediculousness: ER MACHEEN GUNZ!!!

When they first get introduced I am going to pull all nighters, so I can get in the fun time before the whine-fueled nerf train flattens them.
