What kind of new game modes would you like to see in MWO? They dont even have to be viable or easy to implement, as long as its fun/interesting.

My ideas:
-Moba/Dota style match: each side starts with some npc creeps (tanks, hovercraft, vtols) that advance towards the center of the map or the opposing creep line (via a couple dif routes-the creeps split up). The npcs would have some limited offensive capabilities and would shoot at both the enemy mechs and the enemy npcs. The win objective could be the destruction of all the creeps and/or loss of all friendly mechs. Could implement a dropship type spawn system where u pick 3 of your own mechs and as such have 3 lives. (a similar version of this game mode is done pretty well in another game called war thunder).

-Convoy escort/assault: 1 team defends a moving convoy, 1 team is tasked with destroying it. Maybe make it so the commander of the defenders (someone who took command and has a command module?) can have some semi limited (semi limited so you cant just hide the convoy in a corner somewhere, and instead have to keep it moving "forward" to the objective/extraction point but have some options on which route to take to keep the enemy guessing) movement orders for the convoy and/or some stop orders for short periods of time. The more of the convoy you keep alive to the extraction point, the larger ur reward is (and for attackers a bonus for each convoy vehicle kill) and if all vehicles are lost the attackers win.

What would you like to see in the way of new game modes? :)

A horde mode: 4 man premade vs an endless number of pugs. For every pug they kill 2 new spawn. :)

Respawn -

Pick 4 mechs (the ones in your quick que slots on the left) You drop with those mechs. If you die you can launch with the next one until all of them are destroyed or you wipe out all of their mechs.

End of the match team still standing wins.

@ Kusho i like your idea with the Tanks. The Tanks should have Weapons and fight the opponent Team so you not only have Mech vs Mech.

Another possible Scenario is that one Team has to defend 3 Buildings on 3 seperate places of the Map. The other Team has to attack these points. If all Mechs are Dead or all Buldings has been destroyed the Round is over.

@ Carrion. That would be hard to balance. Maybe that you can only drop one Mech per Type. So there cant drop 4 Atlas in a row

Clan Trials.
I am not a Clanner myself, but the lore offers this unique game mode. Devs should consider this.

I just want to see actual missions with objectives instead of parking your mech near a static object to win.

Have people go on raids for mech components or even complete mechs.
Secure spaceports to field more units in the next missions (drop with 12 instead of 8 mechs).
Hotdrop mechs into areas where they have to take out communication arrays.
Patrol areas for potential invaders or alternately create a ambush.

There are dozens more examples here, for advanced gameplay you could link mutliple missions in a mini campaign to conquer a planet.

Indeed. Would love to see some more advanced objectives.

For hardcore grinding, I want to see Solaris VII arenas with deathmatch and team deathmatch. No capture the flag, no base capping, just outright brawling till one side wins or loses.

I'd really like to see some coop modes for four or eight people...where you take on an AI controlled base of some sort. Maybe there can be a series of missions...like Caustic's objective might be to run across the map and destroy two enemy lances(when you only have one) and a couple towers in addition to some VTOLs or little tank buddies.

Almost like having an old school campaign, but you queue up and just randomly drop in a mission with your buddies(maybe require at least three lancemates to queue up for campaign-style missions).

I remember a thread talking about various ways they could implement AI missions a few months ago. If I recall correctly, a developer stated that...should demand grow high enough, they would definitely consider adding some kind of campaign to MWO. Or...something like that. Maybe they could incorporate clans into this type of thing...have us directly interacting with them long before they're made playable(due to balance reasons or timeframe whatever whatever).

Other than that, I like these solaris deathmatch/team deathmatch/duels that people suggest from time to time.

I have a idea for a similar mode only instead of buildings one team has to attack artillery positions that are shelling a landed and disabled dropship. If the dropship takes to much damage the attacking team loses.

Future cop was amazing! Build the turrets and spawn units to throw at the enemy. There's been a few mod missions for Warcraft and such similar to this concept. Brilliant suggestion :)

Don't know if I could handle that dude screaming DEATH FROM ABOVE and whatever else he would shout all the time, though XD
