Stringent fps limiter (45) fixed it for me.
but yeah, might have something to do with the UI, since the freeze bug only appeared in the patch where it was changed.

FYI
I copy/paste a post from my clan Forum i made:
" So ive had some trouble with MWO , it crashed mid-game well the screen freezes.
Ending the task in task manager was the only way for me to end the game. sometime a hard reboot
The freeze is reported on the MWO forums, more then one player has this problem.
It seems to happen every 3/4 games for me.
Happens allot when loads of lrms are hitting a target.
I had a "shared Bug" with someone from the clan on Ts, same bug same time.
I did the usual stuff first ofc reinstall of game, drivers and direct x but nothing worked.
Before the crashes started i also tweaked my Gfx card a bit , so all back to default.
In the end it seemed it was my Monitor Refresh rate i had it turned up to 75 Hertz now its back on 60 Hertz.
20+ games now and no crashes anymore "
I got a pretty high end system so i was running on max fps with full settings.
With vsync on and a Monitor refresh rate of 60 Hertz ive had no crashes for 2 days.
Hope this helps
