If I understand correctly, the CN9-A has 10 missile tubes (to match it's stock LRM10). What happens when you simultaneously fire 3xsrm6? Do they all come out at once since 10 > 6 or do they come out in two waves since 10 < 18?
That would be the logical thing. But no. Since all 3 hard points SHARE those 10 tubes, only 6 tubes fire, and each of those 6 tubes simultaineously fire 3 missiles (1 missile per hard point per hole).
Skip to 1:15 for an explanation of the missile tube and one hard-point versus missile tube and multiple hard-point bug. Keep in mind it was hastily made. (At 3:29, skip to 4:22 to get back on topic. Actual topic ends at 8 minutes, where it goes on to other problems.)
Which has existed since closed beta. The bug being that multiple hard points use the same tubes, allowing them to simultaneously fire as many missiles per tube as there are hard-points.
A good way to compare this bug is to look at the Hunchback G, which has one huge cannon but 3 hard-points. That one barrel can simultaneously fire 3 AC-5 rounds at the same time. Imagine if you could fit 3 AC-20s into that hunchback's right torso? 3 rounds occupying the same space, hitting at the same time.
This is the issue we have "Splat Cats" and "Streak Cats." Those missiles spread identically, inside of each other. Rather than spreading independently. This is because they fire from the same holes as at least two of their friends.
