Is Chassis Balance Gone From Pugs?

So I just played my first match and I got this:

4 Assaults and 4 Heavies (645 tons) versus 2 Assaults, 3 Heavies, and 2 Mediums (475 tons)

Even if you throw in an atlas to that missing slot, there is a 70 ton difference.

Is chassis balancing gone forever, or is this unintentional? I know matchmaker 3 is here, but I thought we would still have some weight balance in the game.

Wow. They done ****** up. I'm excited to see how it plays out, though. It'll make for some interesting matches.

The missing player already throws it out of whack, but being down by only 70 tons can still be manageable to some degree. Besides if you look at your team's damage, they're pretty freakin close to the damage numbers on the enemy team. Maybe you could have taken more of them out with better focus fire?

Back in early closed beta you were randomly matched, not weight matched, you worked with what you dropped with and didn't automatically know what the other team had.

I think this way is more prone to stomps based on tonnage, but it's also going to give a more tactical game where scouting matters more again.

Its trying to match ELO, not weight.

Their Atlas pilots may have all been less skilled than your teams pilots.
