Sure, the problems considering still unbalanced teams probably need to get fixed but you seriously can't wait 3 minutes?
Maybe it's time for you to try Call of Duty or League of Legends?

Try 30-45 minutes and let me know, because that is how long I waited trying to find a match before I decided just to quit trying.

Yep, sure. I don't have that problem at the moment and i understand that's frustrating. But OP is arguing 3 minutes is too long.

If the current system already takes too long for you, you think segregating it further would speed it up?
you "segregate" when you try to put multiple teams on the two main sides..
You De-segregate by just taking a pool of 16 players into just two teams..then just use ton and battle score to swap players till you get as close to even as can..would be Very fast

I had a feeling it was lone wolves only getting the shaft, or there would be a much bigger outcry. I imagine it was the roll of premade filler that was causing the longest problems, in that if you had enough premades playing, but they didn't need your particular brand of filler, you were screwed.
Nice to hear there is a hotfix coming in, it's pretty horrible.
But the matches I've gotten into have been epic... nice seeing what happens to people when actually match on skill, instead of just having teamspeak and premade advantages.

yes, lone wolf was taking me 4-5 tries. Perhaps a high ELO pug has no other pugs to match against? This then forces high ELO who often 4 or 8 man to ALWAYS 4 or 8 man to get a match. great.

LOL, this is peotic justice for all the people who whined endlessly about how unfair the old matchmaking system was. Unfortunately though, I will be stuck in these same queues when I get online later tonight.
It was a bug, there was an emergency patch to fix things.
At the end of the day, the only people that are QQing after this patch are the people that padded their stats pubstomping and are now getting it, without lube.
Even with the long waits, the matches have been MUCCCCCCCHHHH better.

You quoted my double post before I was able to fix it. My post was not intended to be redundant. Also, many pugs who mistakenly believed they were always getting pug stomped were probably just below average skill players.

Beta means still testing. It means in fact that they're still introducing, testing and balancing things and that you are helping with that.
Of course it needs some tweaking. We're not even 24 hours into it. By 72 hours I betcha it'll be rockin' along.

Full disclosure...I am out of premium time, but I was about to buy more. Now I am gonna wait til I can actually play fairly continuously. I hate downtime.

This...
Plus, I would rather play 5 or 6 balanced matches an hour than 15 rolls.
I'd rather get stomped a few times and actually get to play. Earlier, I got into a total of 1 match in 1 hours time.
Sorry, I'd rather get stomped into oblivion than look at a little circle for an hour.

Waiting 2-3 min for a 5 min game is plain stupid.
yes really, have you PLAYED any other ELO matchmaker type games? HoN?LoL?DOTA? read my post. stop complaining. ELO tuning takes a while even for a 5v5 match in those games. in MWO it's trying to match 8v8 or 12v12 in ADDITION to trying to match the mech class/weight you are driving. the wait is going to be UNAVOIDABLE. that's the definition of a pool based matchmaking system. you need to have sufficient people in the pool to make the matchmaker work.
what would help more than whining about the wait time, is suggestions for MWO to give us something to do while waiting. such as spectating, or navigating our mechlab, or watching vidoes.
and in fact, i already do some of that because i can have a browser open next to the MWO client.
