The following is a true account of an assault at Alpine that happened last night during the new ELO matchmaker. I was playing as a lone wolf.

* * * * * * * *

Running through the startup sequence of my Ilya, the comm system crackles on.

"Someone should stay back and guard the base".

"Sure. There's also an AS7-D here. We'll watch the base. My Ilya is kitted out for long-range fighting though; 2xGauss and 2xML".

Guard duty is uneventful. Our main force is taking on the enemy at about 2-3 km from our base behind a small mountain peak. I can't get any shots in.

A COM-2D attempts to sneak into the base, and leaves with both side torsos barely hanging on. I feel bad for not finishing it off, but it disappears using it's ECM.

"This is base. All is clear. I've taken up knitting".

Ten minutes pass. The match seems to be relatively even - both sides are losing mechs. The AS7-D has left to join the main fight. I've decided to guard the base in case the COM-2D returns.

Two of our mechs left, 3 of theirs.

"Base, we need reinforcements"!

"Roger that, joining fight".

I watch as the last two of our mechs die. The AS7-D is last to go. 2-3 km to main fight, 4 minutes left.

"I'll take them on at the base".

I walk back to the base, find a nice high vantage point. After about a minute, I spot the enemy force. A CN9, and a TBT. TBT is heavily damaged. I hope that the last remaining mech is the barely functional COM-2D, but I can't see it anywhere.

Three to one, my team is not placing much trust in me.

"Just go and die", my team urges in team comms.

My Ilya is almost unscathed.

"I'll win this if the time doesn't run out"!

I take a potshot at the CN9 at about 1km, hitting it's left leg.

"Remember the weapon max ranges"!

Good advice. I move on top of a hill even closer to the base. From my new position, the enemies will come into view after clearing a ridge at about 600m - optimal range for the Gauss cannons. I also have a good view of our cap zone.

2-3 minutes left.

Returning closer to the base turns out to be a good idea, as the COM-2D tries to sneak in. I focus on it with my MLs, and a few lucky shots later the mech blows into fragments.

The CN9 and TBT come into view almost at the same time. I get a few shots in at the approaching CN9 but the TBT is smart. It's flanked me, and lets out a volley of LRMs. I retreat behind the hill I was standing on, hoping to lose missile lock. A moment later I realize that turning my back onto that volley of missiles was a bad idea. LRMs tearing away my back armor, I glance at the HUD and see my CT internals glowing yellow. All rear armor gone.

I take on the CN9 behind the hill, making sure not to turn my back on it. I hope that the TBT doesn't get a missile lock on me, but I've no idea where it is. After a furious fight, my long-range sniping pays off as I manage to blow off the left leg of the CN9. The rest is easy.

30 seconds left.

"One to go"! I type at the comms, grinning.

The TBT pilot makes a fatal mistake - it's closed in on me under the cover of the same hill I was hiding behind. As soon as I get a visual, I plant two gauss rounds straight into it's CT, and watch the fireworks.

Match won.

"And with 19 seconds to spare"!

Congratulations flow in from the comms.

"Top job"!

* * * * * * * *

Best fight in MWO yet.

Tell me yours!

Was a good read, I don't have any exciting story's to tell. And if I did it wouldn't matter because I would have forgotten them by now. The only one I can think of is when I went 1 vs 6 and killed them all in my dragon, and shot a catapult out of the air dead with my GR. But I'm not going to type it all out. Found the screenshot, there was two other people alive on my team, but they didn't do anything.

While I'm not going to put my recollection into a story format (no time, sorry!), I would like to share with you what I think was one of my most epic battles.

It happened on Caustic valley, with me piloting my centurion. After a rather extensive brawl, both teams were decimated with only me being left on my team and a jenner on the enemy. With both of my arms as well as most weapons destroyed, I was left with a single medium laser in the torso, stripped armour and a very bad feeling that we were about to lose. What was worst - my back armour was gone and the internals red.

As the enemy jenner approached, my heart dropped as I've noticed he was generally in good condition and armed with 4 medium lasers. That was it, I though, the end. Unfortunate as the battle had been epic. However, I also noticed that the pilot was not very skilled just yet, making me think the player was a newcomer. This opened a possibility to exploit this weakness as I've also noticed he only used alpha strikes to fire all of his four lasers, shutting down very often.

Unfortunately, with my single medium laser, I didn't do enough damage to the momentarily standing target to win. What I did next made me all excited and tingly. Thinking that the player would certainly not pay very much attention to his heat levels, I kept the enemy in front of me, then proceeded to back up into the caldera. To my relief (and excitement), the plan worked. The jenner alpha struck me, shutting down for a much longer time, giving me some much needed shots into his leg, getting him pretty much stationary. With the second shut down, he had sealed his fate and our team won.

EPIC!

The second story was quite similar although not AS cool as the previous one. I was the only one left in an atlas, similarly with both arms and most weapons destroyed. Two medium lasers in the torso remained against a raven (I think). Once again, I was sure to lose, yet the raven did a couple of mistakes, shutting down was amongst them. It gave me time to core him.

;)

copypaste from my own thread, with a lil dramatic flair ;) -

"Dammit" He slammed his fists on the controls as his phract became unresponsive again, save for the warning lights that had pestered him for some time now. The pilot was frustrated, even though the erppc volley that shut him down had turned a hunchback to slag across the clearing outpost Alpha was all but lost.

He surveyed what he could of the invaders waiting for betty to reboot his mech, a jenner, a cataphract in bad shape missing an arm and a stalker all jockeying for position to terrorise the outpost into surrender and destroy the last mech apart from himself, a stalker and a cataphract left from a full two lances not 5 minutes before. His Lancemate was in bad shape, fighting defensively, desperately trying to keep the outpost from surrendering, as the outposts commander was screaming something over the comm's about never working again this side of solaris. Lone wolves were not shown much mercy as pow's, nor did they inspire contractors when things went this wrong.

In a stroke of luck, the jenner stopped almost in the phracts sights as it powered up, using the outpost as cover to pot shot at it's prey while keeping covered but oblivious to the threat on it's flank. The pilot let loose with a gauss round, smashing the right side of the mech. With a start it lurched forward and away from the phract trying to duck into the cover of the nearby multiplex's.

"ahh, crap" the pilot spat as he launched the ppc's at the rear of the jenner, launching it forward off it's feet as the rear engine compartment exploded. It was another gamble that shut his mech down again, but his phract was missing armor from several torso area and the jenner would have been deadly given the cities cover to hit and fade from.

This nap was a much shorter one, meanwhile the stalkers dueled and the enemy phract pushed the base. One could feel the panic in the air, again life came back to the mech and he pushed forward into the enemy cataphract this time, still facing away from the pilot. The gauss cracked, the enemy mech rocked forward and began to maneuver for a shot. Again the pilot shut his mech down turning another to slag with an alpha strike, "this has gotta stop" he thought, but desperate times........

Things were not going well for his lance mate, the enemy stalker was giving it a pounding, large lasers raking across it's torso's. The phract fired up again, stumbling forward to get a clear shot at the last attacker. Time slowed, the phracts gauss barked again, the crack of the slug breaking the sound barrier echoing off the cityscape. Sparks flew from the stalker, showing half a block before the mech toppled forward, silent.

"outpost alpha secure, request reserve lance and air support to go salvage a dropship". If that panned out the crew might even cut the losses for the mechs destroyed yet.............

I remember this one time when I was soloing in my stock Cataphract 3D on forest colony.

Me and some other heavies and mediums had flanked through the tunnel and came out on the side of the map that has the small village. The others started skirmishing with the enemy. I decided to go down the trench formed by the small stream (the one that goes through the pipes). The trench that had enemy heavies and assaults lining either side of it. Luckily all their attention was taken by our main force in the middle of the map. So I set off down the trench, any minute expecting one of the Atlases to turn around and plant a gauss slug in my insolent arse.

Amazingly, not one of the enemy mechs saw me, and I came out of the trench pretty chuffed. Then I saw a trial Cicada sitting in front of me. The unfortunate pilot paniced and reversed in a straight line as my medium lasers, UAC5 and LBX10 tore him apart. I then went on to get an atlas chasing his tail while me and a friendly hunchback took him apart. We were doing really well, the battle was almost done, and was I feeling great as I'm usually rather rubbish at MWO.

And then our base got capped and we lost. ;)

**--**

He powered up, his cockpit light glaring in the darkness.
"All mechs to the upper city to defend. We've got contact reports coming in from both directions, but our Priority is taking and holding point Kappa for the time being. We'll reevaluate the circumstances at that point."

He flicks on his Night Vision, panning to get a decent look at his surroundings. It was his first time in this City, and he suspected he'd never know how good the Nightlife could be. Rumors abounded, but without first hand experience he wouldn't trust any of it.

**--**

"I'm seeing movement through the ruins on the south side of the downed bridge. Possible ECM coverage."

**--**

"Contact! Enemy DDC, AWS-8M, Two HBK-4G's and a RVN-3L. There's only 3 of us here, I don't know if we can take them..."

**--**

Having just finished capping Epsilon, Elliott turned his CTF-1X to head in that direction. Being alone, having lost his CTF-4X, and CND-9A companions, he knew that he wouldn't be able to really turn the tide. He merely wanted to take as many down with him as he could. He crossed into the water, knowing how vulnerable it made him. However the remnants of his team were still engaged with the remaining enemy forces roughly 750m ahead. He spotted the back of the DDC, clear as day and inviting his alpha strike. He hadn't yet targetted the mech, focusing more on lining up the shot to hopefully hurt the DDC's cannon shoulder.

3 ER Large lasers and a gauss round left his mech at roughly the same time, all impacting on the rear shoulder of the DDC. Unbeknownst to Elliott, the Atlas had previously been injured in that shoulder, the armor already a deep crimson. As the hail of fire impacted the Atlas, it shuddered as though the ground below it was opening up, and after a few seconds exploded in a brilliant display. Elliott saw none of this, as his next target was already lined up for the shot. He knew he must work quickly, as his three teammates had been steadily taking a pounding. As he released a second alpha at the scorched chassis of a Hunchback, he saw the indicator lights for two of his team wink out. Things were down to the wire.

He checked to make sure the Atlas was in check and was surprised to find him dead. That left two Hunchbacks, the Raven, and the fearsome Awesome 8M, bristling with weapons and hardly scratched at all. Elliott released a second alpha at the Hunch he'd been aiming at, tearing off it's cannon shoulder. Warning lights started blaring in his cockpit, and the automated voice, nicknamed B.E.T.T.Y. (Bright and Efficient Terrific Terminal Yakkity-yak system) immediately began repeating that he was taking an excess amount of damage. He slammed the switch that turned the voice off, and proceeded to use the small hill cover in and around the enemy to strike where he could.

He rounded a corner, and came face to face with the enemy Raven. He unloaded everything, catching it in the side as it turned to flee. Just behind the Raven came the enemy Awesome, energy weapons ablaze. Elliott ducked back out of the fight once more, glancing around out of his cockpit to spot his last remaining teammate, a COM-2D. The Commando had the enemy raven engaged, and was attempting to finish off the wounded torso. The AWS-8M turned, unleashed a hellish display, and just as he died the brave Commando pilot let loose a 6 SRM shot, shattering the raven and bringing it down.

Elliott was now worried. He had sustained quite enough damage in the short exchange with the 8M, and still hadn't seen the other 4G. It was this terror, completely undamaged, that now appeared out of the night to harrass him to death. He brought up his targetting computer, searching the information quickly for the enemy loadout. 3 MLAS and 3 MG. Really? He thought to himself. Turning to bear on the incoming 4G, he unleashed his own hell towards the hump of the mech, intending to disable the MGs and ignore the MLAS until the 8M could be dealt with. The 4G turned at the last second, catching most of the fire on his right side.

The 8M chose this moment to attack, bringing his full firepower down on poor Elliott. In a last ditch attempt to survive he madly fired everything at random, not caring where his shots landed only that they did, in fact, land. Thus he was once again surprised by the 8M looking like it powered down, only to see a smoking crater where the cockpit had once been.

He turned once more, to face the 4G steadily pouring MG fire into his exposed back, luckily missing any vital equipment. As he heard an Ammo explosion start kicking up from his left Torso, he fired one last time in a desperate attempt to bring his opponent down.

It worked.

As the dropships left the area, all stood in silence, mourning the loss of their great warriors on this day.

That was great! And now, I shall furnish you with the tale about how some pugs beat a premade. I've added some flavour for the sake of storytelling, but it was two of us and 6 pugs vs a 4-man and pugs. Best match ever.

My colleague Grot and I had accepted our contract, and bolstered our ranks with some mercenary firepower. Not ideal, but the job paid well. We dropped into the lower reaches of the frozen city a rag-tag bunch of mercs. After a cursory glance at my new, albeit temporary, lancemates, I pushed my CTF-2X, Stompy, to around 60%, keeping pace with Grot's Stalker, which bristled with an arsenal of enormous energy weapons, and strode towards the remains of the crashed Leopard-class dropship.

Navigating through the blizzard, my radio buzzed from the open channels "Greetings, mercenaries. We are the White Flames, this wreckage is under our guard, turn back or be destroyed."

I did not sweeten their sour tone with a reply. Instead, I gave some words of encouragement to the rest of my men. I knew they'd heard it as well, and knew we were facing a coordinated lance.

As we neared the ridge, the distinct silouette of a Cicada comes barreling over the hill, with a Commando in tow. "Spotters!" I radio in to my team mates, as LRMs weaved over the Leopard carcass. The Cicada took a shine to me, and I was soon reversed against a building, providing cover from the hellfire, and making sure the Cicada couldn't get shots at my soft rear armour. With some supporting fire from a bright blue Centurion, the Cicada was distracted, and the combined power of my PPC and AC/10 easily tore through his stripped rear armour, and he fell unceremoniously into a smoking heap. A quick arm wiggle showed my thanks to the merc, who returned the gesture.

The Cicada fell just in time for me to see the Commando making a beeline for Grot. I turned to try and get a bead on him, six bright blue beams burned through the light mech in a second. Meeting the small mech's torso dead center, the scout fell to it's knees and came skidding to a halt, everything above the waist a molten wreck. There was no eject.
Taking a moment to catch our breath, I exchanged some private words with Grot. We were soon interrupted.

"They've flanked us!". I should have guessed it, but they went through the tunnel that intel mentioned. I wasn't sure of numbers, but three of the mercenaries turned to face the threat. Grot and I remained, and used the precious seconds to let our mechs cool, and changed from thermal vision to find that the blizzard had long since subsided.

"Target neutralized" my radio crackled. "He was alone, poor S.O.B."
"Roger, make best speed to our position, I've got a-"

A massive round hit my rear armour with such force that I actually saw the snow and my mech's feet before I rescued the stumbling mech. I looked up, and saw Grot opening up his full arsenal again.

"Atlas! Scratch that, two!" Grot said, his usually calm voice streaked with alarm. He realized, as did I, that the three who had fetched the enemy in the tunnel wouldn't be back for some time.
This must have been the White Flames lance. I turned Stompy on his heel, and met the Atlas with an AC/10 round to it's broad, white chest. It didn't even rock back.

I pushed in between the pale Atlases, making sure that I would clear them both, and showed the Catapult K2 behind them some SRMs. Breaking left, I took cover behind a building, and readied myself for another pass. I broke out from the other side of the building, seeing the three mechs more advanced on our position than I had left them. Bounding towards the Catapult, I was joined by my comrades as I let loose Autocannon, PPC, laser and missile. The K2 began to buckle under our combined fire, but the problem of two hundred tons of assault mech soon began to show it's weight.

I was distracted by the hunchback toppling off the low building. It was one of ours, riddled with holes from massive autocannon rounds. The next moments were blurry. As I got close enough to get a lock with my Streak missiles, I saw the entire left side of Grot's Stalker peel away, revealing a glowing, sparking mass of internals. The lasers still burned away at our foes, but still they relentlessly advanced.

In an act of vengeance, my AC/10 round fell true on the right torso of the lead Atlas. I could hear shots ringing out as it's ammo combusted, and it ground to a halt. It didn't fall, but I knew it was stopped.

As Grot radioed for help, our reinforcements, although diminished by LRM fire, had made it to the fight, and the second Atlas was soon brought low by an astonishing shot by a mercenary, whose callsign I couldn't recall. The K2 was also soon felled, and we took stock.
They had taken four of our number, and half of Grot's Stalker. Stompy was not in great shape, one leg sitting at a very odd angle on it's hip actuator, and the rest of it pockmarked with impacts from lasers and ballistics alike. Two of our hires stood amongst us, equally dented and shaken.

We knew that there were two of the White Flames left, but not where, or what they were piloting. We walked towards the Leopard again, and since Stompy was the most 'functional' mech in our lance, I took point.

As I crested the ridge, I noticed two distinct faces staring back at me. Two unscathed Atlases held their guard on the far side of the wreckage. This was their LRM support. Their LRMs were spent, but I could see them lining up shots, and I knew we would be destroyed piecemeal if we tried to engage them at range.

"Push!" I yelled into the neurohelmet, just as I was met with Gauss and PPC fire. They may have been fire support, but they were still capable of picking our broken mechs apart.

Dodging between incoming fire, weaving back and forth, nursing the smoking Stompy closer to his quarry, leg actuators groaning in protest. As I broke into their LRM's minimum range, I let loose my opening blow, and risked a look through my cockpit's side window. I saw a Stalker, bathed in flames, and missing half it's torso, come striding over the hill, flanked by an equally dented Catapult, and the bright blue Centurion. We slammed head first into the remnants of the White Flames, and soon stood between two burning Atlas husks.

"Pug 4 lyfe" - mysterious Centurion pilot.

Our assualt lance was counting on us 2 jenners, commando, and my spider. Reports started coming in that they were being engaged along the drop ship on this frozen planet we had been stuck on. Lance commander lead us towards the engagement, but I was feeling we'd be too late.

"y'all want to take down an atlas?" LC asked over the come. Three hells ya come back to him. A second later I round the last corner and spot our unfortante target.

The ddc 's back looked so tasty as we sikentky got into range. "Light him up!" We engaged, tearing his back open quickly. The Jenners danced in front of him as myself and the commando continued to put rounds into his back. In no time the mighty beast fell.

A wang had started to engage us and we took a few shots before LC called us off because it was getting to hot. But we'd done our job. Our assault lance had the break they needed.

My best fight ever happened rather recently. About three weeks ago I was dropping with three other guys in my 2xGauss / 1xERPPC 'phract and we ended up on the low side of River City. Two of the 4 not in my group immediately made a beeline for the G rush and I told my guys to follow them thinking the mob mentality would pull the rest along. Lo and behold, I was wrong, the other two not in my group started pushing for upper city. By this point I was scouting up the river from the wharf area in G4 and saw two or three of the enemy moving toward the upper city across from their base. Thinking I could even that equation out for the two on my team heading that way I followed them towards upper city.

Just as I got to the broken bridge my two friendlies piled into upper city and were instantly engaged by a ferocious amount of fire and they turned and tried to run pulling a K2 PPC/LL sniper and a hunchback into the open. I put a gauss and ppc round into the head of the cat and another gauss into its CT then saw more movement behind the buildings so I threw my mech left and put a full alpha into the cat's CT wiping away all of the remaining armor and causing him to find some cover. One of my teammates went down at this point but the enemy hunchback was in the open still so I put an alpha into his right torso stripping all his armor there then the other enemy mech that was hiding behind the buildings until now stepped into the open, only problem was it was three mechs. A fatlas, cataphract, and commando all started advancing towards my remaining friendly while I started reporting over TS to my teammates that I was going to die and that the majority of the enemy force was in upper city. I alphaed the cataphract but screwed it up so hit each torso section with one weapon then ducked into the buildings, slammed my throttle in reverse, and popped back out to alpha the atlas in his left torso.

Meanwhile my other teammates had run into two enemy scouts but the scouts had just brushed past them and were headed for our base. One of the guys in my group ran for their base and started capping, the other four (two in my team, two randoms) booked it for our base to stop the cap while I'm busy telling them I can't hold the guys in upper city back.

I backed to just out from the base of the short cliff so the enemy would have to come right up to the ledge to even see me when the K2 decided to pop his head over. I promptly alphaed the K2 in his CT and he fell over but the hunchback and commando were close on his heels. Pivoting my legs right while twisting left I started moving back to the buildings again as the commando ran a lap around me lasers blazing into my armor. The hunchback had an AC20 that wasn't dead yet so he was my priority target, but I missed my shot completely and he put an AC20 round with some lasers into my left torso bringing it down to red armor. My second shot on the hunchback was perfection, not only did his torso fall off but he must have had ammo fitted there as he fell over dead on the spot. At this point I was backed into the open area between the skyscraper and two buildings just inside the map bounds with the commando still running around me. I maneuvered so he wouldn't be able to run a full circle and waited for him to have to run away or stop then put him down cold with an alpha in his back and a warning that I was at 25% gauss ammo.

Back at my base they had put down one enemy but were still tangoing with a spider that was just stalling them all. No one was moving to assist me and I realized I was just going to have to do the best I could to soften them up before I bit it then pray my team would ignore the spider long enough to not die.

Sliding my throttle up to halfway I cautiously stuck my mostly healthy right torso out from behind the buildings and was promptly struck by double gauss rounds to my right arm from the cataphract. I snapped off an alpha into his right torso and danced back behind the building to wait for my weapon recycle. Betting the cataphract had an XL I decided I could sacrifice my right arm and the gauss rifle in it to take him down so I moved into the open for another shot. The enemy cataphract shot me again but this time his aim was all on my right torso, stripping most of its armor and leaving it dark orange. My aim was the same point I had hit last time though and my gamble paid off as he became a smoking pile of scrap.

It was down to me and the atlas at this point, my friendlies were dancing with a spider while ignoring me, the one teammate was halfway done capping their base, and I was red/orange armor everywhere but my CT and legs. The atlas pilot must have been unsure at this point, he had a D-DC with ecm, 2xMLas, gauss, AC2, and 3xSRM6's but he walked into the open at the top of the ridge and fired only his SRM's at 220 meters. I alphaed his left torso again knowing the shotgun SRM's would be the most dangerous to me what with an XL engine fitted and my torsos orange or worse, his missiles ripped into my remaining armor stripping me to internals on both left and right torsos. The atlas' left torso was red internals though so I danced in the open while I rode my ERPPC trigger knowing it would recycle first and betting the atlas' pilot would miss his shots. I was sweating to hold my reticle steady on his left torso while dancing and was surprised when it went off, stripping his left torso and arm. I glanced at my ammo, four rounds of gauss left, and steadied my nerves. Throwing caution to the wind I moved to bring the fight to him as he stepped down the cliff. I alphaed his right torso and twisted to present my left arm and back armor as it was the healthiest. He blew my left arm to red internals and my left torso rear armor to orange. I pivoted back, ERPPCed his torso, then cut right by him and presented my rear CT and RT with critical heat alarms blaring. His shots flew wide as I was running past with him going the opposite direction. My gauss recycled and I turned to face him drawing a bead where I thought he would put his right torso when he faced me. My guess was perfect, he turned and placed his right torso directly under my reticle, I squeezed my trigger hammering out my last gauss rounds and a final ERPPC shot to put me into overheat shutdown. Through the red haze I saw the sparks and destruction my final shots had wrought, the enemy atlas was torso-less and weaponless, a dead enemy hulk waiting to be put down.

The friendlies were still entertaining the spider, my teammate was tens of seconds from the cap win, and I had an enemy atlas dead to rights after a hard fought battle. I would not be denied my kill. I slapped my override and told my teammate to get off the cap. The enemy atlas player disconnected at this point but I rhythmically cored him out using my single ERPPC then sighed and started heading to my base to help with the spider. At this point my teammate laughed at me and stepped back on the enemy cap to win the match.

That's my best match to date. Lots of other matches out there for me, lots with higher damage numbers or more kills per match but this is the special one. It's the only one I remember well enough to tell about it. :3

I love these, I had one of the crazy matches last night, we won (with my mech down to one med laser and the other guy only having a gauss) eventually but the dead were talking smack about how we wasted their time and it would have been more efficient to just lose and start another match.

I am glad to find others who play this as a game rather than as a spreadsheet!

So there I was, in frozen city night. The beginning of the battle was a haze of LRM and laser fire but the end was when things started to get interesting.

We were down a couple when the enemy charged over the ridge. In a target rich environment, things can get pretty crazy. It came down to me in my armless Centurion and a Stalker in the same predicament vs. an Ilya, HBK-4SP, a Raven 3L and a Commando of some sort.

The Stalker provided enough of a distraction for me to take down the Raven, then the Commando. This was when the Ilya and Hunchie decided I was a bit more of a priority and started to focus on me, the only opposing mech with weapons left.

The Ilya was close to being cored and I was able to take him down, but by this time both of my side torsos were gone, along with any shred of armor on my center torso, so I was an easy kill for that 4SP even though he was out of missiles, but still had every thing else intact.

Meanwhile, that walking stick of a Stalker managed to wander off and find a nice little hiding place, and since we were short handed at the start of the match, we had a 1 point lead in kills. He had started off towards the enemy base and the 4SP went searching for him instead of trying to cap us out.

4 minutes later, as we spectated the weaponless shutdown Stalker we heard the pitter patter of Hunchie feet approaching. Alas we never did see that 4SP, and the final seconds ticked away and victory was ours!
